Help! I'm starting to like Sandra Lee

DH LOVE to watch her because he is waiting "the girls" to fall into the food.

The food isn't the only "semi-homemade" stuff in that kitchen.

Sandra kind of bugs me - but I am not sure why. On the Thansgiving episode, for her tablescape, DH and I were joking because she took a wine glass and took a clothespin and attached a leaf to the stem! How the heck are you suppossed to pick up the glass to drink it? Her tablescapes are over the top! How can you fit all of the Thanksgiving food on the table with all of the other stuff she adds in?

I hadn't noticed all of her alcohol - I will have to pay attention! DH and I joke that Ina is the Alcoholic of Food Network - I really like her though. We tease DH that his "girlfriend" is Giada. My FIL's is Rachel Ray. Personally, I enjoy Paula!

I can't believe I've read through 3 pages and no one has mentioned the way she adds in these ridiculously long pauses in the middle of her sentences.

"Then you put the salad...in...the...bowl."

Of course if she's liquored up and trying to keep the girls from falling in the food, I suppose she might be a bit distracted

DH loves the tight sweaters, I've always thought the recipes didn't sound that good. DH also loves Rachel Ray. Personally, I think Paula wins hands down.

OMG!! I thought I was the only one that was bothered by this! I thought it was in the editing or something. SURELY nobody talks like that! That's what I told myself anyway........

I agree S Lee's speaking style is annoying, and her diction is just horrible. Her 'Imonna gonna' grates. I thought the long pauses in her sentences were caused by editing and voiceover (looping) to cover flubs while cooking. It's also annoying when she says, I'm gonna make this [fill in with dish name] for you. I guess she'll be passing food thru the TV screen one of these days.

I cannot STOMACH this woman. Not only do I hate the way she speaks, the way everything matches, her tablescapes, those damn "cocktails", all the other alcohol in the dishes themselves, how she refers to her sister "KIMBER" is this the name of her sister or is it really Kimberly? That sends shivers up my spine. But the thing that I HATE the most with every fiber of my being is when she has to EAT ON CAMERA. Ugh!!! Was she ever taught NOT to talk with a mouthful? That is so disgusting. Today when she took a bite and she was talking, you SAW the whole mouthful of food.

I think she's an acquired taste. I used to cringe and call her the Martha Stewart wannabe (another one I don't like) but I like the holiday shows and I am a convenience cook if there ever was one, so she kinda grew on me. I made her French Onion Soup from the slow cooker one a few weeks ago and it was very good.

I love Paula Deen and DS has a crush on Rachael Ray. I'd like her better if she'd sit on her hands when she talks instead of almost taking out the camera crew with those wide and crazy gestures.

All I can say is DH loved her Halloween special.....especially the parts where she wore that "princess" gown. The girls were out in full force and whenever she leaned towards the camera (which was lot), they almost came out to say "hellooooo"! I really can't stand watching the show......it's annoying how the set always matches her outfits AND the food theme of the day. And my kids make a game out of counting how many times she says the word "pop" (as in, "you're just gonna "pop" this into the pan/oven/glass etc).
