And they can't use tissues, foil, trash bags, paper plates, cups, toilet paper or other every day items?
I get that some people like their 'brands'... but if I'm out of toilet paper....I'll use whatever I had shoved in the back of the cabinet.
Same with my plastic wrap or foil. If I run out.....I'll use whatever my kids can come back with from downstairs. It's nice to have an emergency backup.
The pledge and air freshener was a joke..... sheesh...even on TV the febreeze commercials show them spraying down the guys favorite chair.
I'm glad so many people here have never fought with their spouse over something simple like toilet paper or grapes.
I've been married 14 years...and I've had my share of stupid arguments. I'm not proud of them...but I won't lie and say it's never happened.
If I got things that were not the brand I used, I'd be posting on facebook the next day to get rid of them. They wouldn't be hanging around to clutter the house. I have my preferred brands for specific reasons - like I won't use anything but puffs plus because otherwise my nose will be raw.
I'm sensitive to scents, so the pledge and the air freshener would be gone - after giving me a huge sneezing fit and possibly a migraine.
(And don't even get me started on febreeze!
Most people wouldn't think of me as being sensitive to scents because I love fruity and candy scented things. Anything with floral or pine elements to it will give me a migraine. I can't tell you how many friends have said that they had no idea since I rarely get anything unscented that I was sensitive to any scent.)While *you* might use whatever your kids bring from downstairs, not everyone would. A lot of people wouldn't even *have* something that wasn't their favorite brand in the house. If they're eco-friendly, they would possibly even be insulted by paper plates and cups. I certainly wouldn't use any TP but my brand on my 'parts' (yes, I even bring a few rolls on vacation).
Whenever I've had to give a gift to someone I didn't know very well, I always went as general as possible - nothing scented, something just about anyone would be able to use, etc. I'd rather give an impersonal gift card than have the receiver go "Well, I used up all my stuff might as well use the junk Agri gave me."
