HELP! I can't stop booking resort reservations!

Sorry, no one can assure you there will be a discount. If you makes you feel better, I cancelled and rebooked my reservation for my last trip 4 times, same hotel 3 of them. They kept coming out with discounts. In the end I saved about $350 so it was worth it.

If you have something you can afford right now in Dec with free cancellation book it. If something better comes along cancel it and book the better deal. If you only want a deal with free dining or at a lower price point than currently offered there is no practical reason to buy now because if you're hopes aren't fulfilled you will have to cancel and that's never fun.

I'd say get another hobby. Pronto.

My wife make these bowl coozy things for the microwave. Gets 10 bucks for them. No stress and money to boot.

This is why it's good I have a travel agent. If on my own, I'd have a deposit down for 4 resorts. But, I don't want her to see all my crazy so I keep it to one. I have switched it a few times though. I'm not waiting for the free dining bc I don't think it will be available my dates. I do want a good room discount though. :) When are you going? We'll be 11/27-12/3.

I have been doing the same for our July trip. Plus, I am doing it for Universal too, not just WDW:sad2: It's definitely a sickness.

I'm a wreck! While waiting for free dining, I keep letting all other promotions pass by. I need an intervention...

OR someone to assure me that a will see SOME sort of promotion in December. Even if it's not free dining!

When the stress of planning the vacation becomes this much of a burden, I would 100% switch to a travel agent, as ConstantStar suggests. Remember, they are a FREE service. Look up Disney Travel Agency on Google if you are not familiar with them.
If you insist on doing this yourself, just remember any new promos that come up can be applied to your existing reservation, so long as the reservation meets the requirements of the promo and you call Disney before the promo sells out. This is something a travel agent could easily do for you.
This might be stating the obvious, but KEEP TRACK of your cancellation deadlines. I would be VERY worried about forgetting to cancel if I were juggling lots of reservations.

P.S. If you need a discount so badly, maybe you should wait until you can more comfortably afford the trip? Or switch to a Moderate/Value resort? Might not apply to you, of course. Disney is SO expensive (I could never afford to go back again and again like some do!) I'd try the DVC rentals if you are cash conscious, but can't bear to skip Deluxe.

To answer the "when are you going" question...I am completely open. If they offer free doing ANY date in December, that is when I will book. IF that does not happen and no promotion comes out, IL still be booking for December. This is not my personal first choice time of year to go (we love it HOT) but with our oldest now in college, we are much more limited. My husband had a procedure recently so he needs time to recoup completely as well which is why we just don't go over the summer.

Deal or no deal we are going. It may be the difference between a 9 thousand dollar trip and a 12 thousand dollar trip bit we will be going!!
