Help! How would I make something like this?

So we're expecting our first after many years of trying. I want to have a very special nursery for our child. We're going with a Winnie the Pooh theme. I wanted to make a lot of the decorations in the room myself rather than buying a premade nursery from disneyshopping.com. So I found a picture that has made me REALLY wanting to make a lamp. Only problem is, I don't know what materials to use to get the same effect. Basically I want to make a honey pot lamp that is slightly translucent where the honey is coming out of the pot.
