are buffet servers paid any more than their sitdown restaurant counterparts? if not, then why tip them less? i realize their "job" is different, but imo, they work just as hard, just differently (i.e. rather than bringing food, they bring drinks, extra napkins, etc as well as clean up, which the full service waitstaff doesn't -- they have a bus-boy/girl to do that for them) i've always tipped the same (15-25%) no matter the type of restaurant, dependent mostly on the quality of service...
