Help! How much to tip at Character meals?

I need help from the experts out there. How much do you tip at the character meals and who do you tip? Thanks for your help!

i typically tip 15-25% based on service, usually just leaving it on the table... i don't tip the characters if that is your question... just the server...

full service restaurants are 15-20%, buffet restaurants are 10%. At the buffets, if you have little ones who don't pay (I have a two year old) I always add to the tip based on what he would pay. (Usually an extra 2 dollars)

Full service I pay 15-20 %. Buffet I pay $2.00 per adult and $1.00 or $2.00 per child depending on service. I have gotten the buffet advice from my Las Vegas talk board as everyone eats at buffets in Vegas.

are buffet servers paid any more than their sitdown restaurant counterparts? if not, then why tip them less? i realize their "job" is different, but imo, they work just as hard, just differently (i.e. rather than bringing food, they bring drinks, extra napkins, etc as well as clean up, which the full service waitstaff doesn't -- they have a bus-boy/girl to do that for them) i've always tipped the same (15-25%) no matter the type of restaurant, dependent mostly on the quality of service...
