HELP! How do I modify my ressies to arrive 3 days later?

We are booked into WL, using an email code, on Dec. 14th for 8 nights, but now can't arrive until Dec. 17th for 5 nights. Our departure date is still the same Dec. 22nd.

The Cm's I spoke to try and cancel my existing reservation and then say there is no availability for my new 5 dates. I tell her I still want my existing room but for only 5 nights. Any tips on how I can modify my reservation?
 
Call back until you get a CM that actually has a brain inside their skull. Just kidding, But I would have just nicely ended the conversation and called back and spoke to a different CM. There are a lot of new people in reservations and not all of them know how to "Modify" a reservation.
 
We've had to do this. Just tell them to modify your reservation. You don't have to cancel and make a new one. They can change the arrival date.
 
Call back, they tried that with me. If the next one does not know whats up, you hang up and call back. the odds are way high you will not get the same one. One more thing, when thye answer, tell them you want CRO.
 

I thought you could change the end of your ressie without making a new one, but if it's the arrival date you had to have a new ressie #. Perhaps what she was saying was that if she made it a new ressie becauase of the change in arrival date, the coded discount rooms were not available anymore. Just a thought.
 
Hi, just did this with 3 reservations I am holding. Had to move the arrival date on all 3, we have the AAA discount and she just modified the reservation. Call back till you get someone who knows more.
 
I agree call back until you can talk to a CM that will help you...

GOSH!! She didn't cancel you reservation did she...That's something else you better make sure when you call.....

Good advice for making new reservations. But if I remember correctly the email codes are booked through WDTC and thus getting a CRO person wouldn't do the OP any good at all. WDTC CM's can access CRO reservations but CRO CM's can't access WDTC ones. It has to do with the systems they were trained on. They are quite different and not interchangeable.
 
Oh, I can start breathing again... I just got off the phone and all is modified correctly. It is great to get someone who knows what they are doing. I was so fearful that my CM from yesterday had cancelled my reservation all together.

I have the WL courtyard booked for $156 using my email code. I actually tried to book another room using my code, but no luck, with or without a code.
