Help! How do I add parkhopping to our tickets?

We booked the MYW package with free dining online earlier this month, but now we want to change our tickets from the base to include the parkhopping. I went in to change our tickets, but there doesn't appear to be a way to make changes to the park tickets online. Do I have to call? Will there be a fee to make this change? (We're more than 45 days out.) And if we decide to add or subtract a day, will that be a problem? Thanks!

If you haven't received them in the mail yet and you are getting them directly through Disney, then they should be able to change your ticket to add the hopper option on to them. There should be no charge to do this. Also adding or subtracting a day at this time should be no problem. Once you start using the tickets though you probably can only add a day (just my guess though, you'd have to check with them when you call).

there will be a charge for the park hopping option, just not a charge for the administrative duties to add the option

Adding a "Hopper option" to a ticket is $40 (tax may be added).

That's $40 per TICKET, regardless of it being a 1-day, 2-day, 10-day, etc.
$40, one time, to hop on ALL days of the ticket's use.

If you already HAVE your tickets (or they are in the mail to you) you can add this at Guest Relations at any of the parks or DTD, or even at a WDW resort.

And, you can add it at any time DURING your trip, so if you don't have hoppers for the first couple of days, and you decide you WANT to hop that day (and/or any other day remaining in the trip) for the $40 charge, you can add the hopper option at that time... and get hoppin'

Well, now I'm mad. I thought I was going to get free parkhopping in addition to free dining.

JK, I knew exactly what you meant. And thanks everyone for the advice--I did call yesterday and added parkhopping and PAID OFF THE TRIP! Well, put it on the credit card, anyway. It's been a long time since we've done a package, and I must say it feels good to have everything paid before we go. Everything--ha ha. Air, hotel, tickets, and most of the food, anyway.

I say most of the food because with all the places we want to eat, it's looking like 2 TS meals many days, so I have a hunch we'll be paying for a lot of the kids' meals OOP. But with our DDE card from last year, it shouldn't be too bad. I'll just have to remember to bring my elastic waistband shorts!
