Help! How bad will it be Mardi Gras/Prez Week?

Friends in town 2/17-2/19 and they want to do Universal. With it both Mardi Gras and Presidents week I'm afraid it will be a nightmare. We haven't done Universal in years and would really like to be able to enjoy it once we finally go. (We are 4 adults, one in a motorized wheelchair). Is it worth trying to go those dates or should I try to discourage it? Suggestions???? Thanks!

presidents weekend brings in crowds.
saturday will be busy

might as well go and enjoy your time there with your friends that are visiting if they are insistant in going.

2/17-2/19 is in the middle of the week, so I wouldn't think that would be a problem, Mardi concerts are only on the weekends.
