I would love to plan a VR for next October but I'm not sure where to even get started. I would like to either have it on one of the Disney Cruise ships or either at the Polynesian Resort on the beach (has this been done before?). Could someone tell me if there is a specific website where I can get some information other than this one? I don't recall seeing anything on the DCL website about it but I could be wrong. I usually like to plan things myself versus having a coordinator do it. Thanks for any help that anyone can give. I know that next October seems far away but I have so many questions I think I'd better start trying to plan for it now. Some of my questions are:

1. Is there a specific package for this or can you book things separately?

2. How much does a VR cost?

3. Who takes care of getting things like flowers, music, cake, etc.?

4. Where can I get basic information about Vow Renewals?

welcome . Have you looked at the disney wedding website. I would start there. A VR is basically considered a wedding. Good luck and have fun planning:goodvibes

We did a vow renewal at Disney three years ago and it was well worth the money! Enjoy your planning!

Hi! Here's a link to the Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings site, which covers weddings and vow renewals (they are treated interchangeably) at WDW and on the Disney Cruise Line (where vow renewals are cheaper than weddings):

http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/gate/index.jsp (Click Walt Disney World for the Disney Cruise Line)

1. Is there a specific package for this or can you book things separately?

"Escape" and Cruise weddings are booked as packages, but those don't include accomodations or tickets or anything, so you can still book all that yourself.

2. How much does a VR cost?

DCL: $1,500 onboard, $2,500 on Castaway Cay
WDW Escape, 2009: $4,500 outdoor locations (like the Polynesian)/$5,500 Wedding Pavilion. Prices increase by $250 for 2010.

3. Who takes care of getting things like flowers, music, cake, etc.?

Disney

4. Where can I get basic information about Vow Renewals?

The official website, as posted above. One of the location choices for the Escape package is Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian, but it has a limit of 10 people, including the bridal couple.

Congratulations!
