Help for off site villa

We were going to stay on site at the Poly, and I was really excited and DH was not but going along for the ride... until he found a site for cheaper two bedroom villas. Now he is excited which is great, plus we can also go to Universal with the savings. I don't know how all of this works. I want to stay at the Sheraton Vistana Resort or the Caribe Royale because I still want a "hotel". I don't want a neighborhood since I grew up in central florida and they don't say vacation to me. Is the Sheraton nice enough to feel like I am on vacation? Any advise, I am open to other ideas. I am just having a hard time finding enough info. What is the best site for the best rates? Thanks. We will have our car, we are driving in.

We like the hotel villas like the Sheraton (and even the vacation feel of a private condo/home). You get more room and all; you do not get hotel services like room service or daily housekeeping (unless you pay extra for it) but it is a nice trade off for the property and space of the unit. FWIW.
