Hello all!

We’re going down to Disney for wine and dine race weekend later this month; our AP are already in our MDE, but we can’t activate them until we get to the parks. Our first morning we wanted to hit EEMH at HS— has anyone had experience with activating their passes at 6am or earlier? I’d hate to get my 4 and 7 year old up that early only to find out that the ticket offices outside HS only operate during regular hours.

I’m assuming we should plan for about 20 minutes minimum from start to finish? Thanks in advance for your help!

I've had an annual pass for the past 3 years and I've always been told to activate them at Guest Relations at any park. Guest Relations is always open any time the park is open, including EMH/EEMH.

I can't promise you that it will only take 20 minutes. Like I said, I've activated 3. My wait time history is 12 minutes, 50 minutes, and 25 minutes. It just depends on how many windows are open, how many people are in line ahead of you, how fast the cast members process things, whether or not the cast members are confused, whether or not their computers are working. Take your patience with you. Prepare for a wait, be excited if it's quick.

I have the same issue- trying to figure out exactly when guest relations/ticket booths open at Hollywood Studios the last weekend of October so we can activate our passes and get in line for rope drop. It sounds like generally ticket booths are open up to an hour before the park opens but have seen nothing too specific.

We were just there and activated an AP on Sunday at HS EEMH at 6am. We had to wait until 6am for guest services to open, which held us up a few minutes.

Can someone explain what you mean when you say "activate" them?
We have annual passes now. During our Thanksgiving trip last year, I had purchased the annual passes and linked them to our magic bands. All we did was enter the park like a normal day using our magic bands. I am confused as to why anyone would need to "activate" their passes.

If you purchased your AP onsite and used it immediately, it was activated when you purchased it.

If you purchase an AP in advance, it is actually a voucher or certificate but not “live” yet and you must show ID to officially activate it and start the 12-month clock.

Enjoy your vacation!

Definitely not our experience. As mentioned, we just went right through the regular line, tapping our magic bands, and into the park. No ID shown anywhere.

We activated ours at the AK last Sunday. EMH were at 7AM and we got there at 6:30ish. The ticket booths were not open yet, but Guest Relations had just opened and we were first in line. It took about 5 minutes to activate all 4 passes at Guest Relations.
