Help for a WW dropout

Hi, I've been reading these posts for a while and trying to diet on my own for the past year. Needless to say, I've been unsuccessful. I have been successful in the past (losing 50 pounds at WW). I never met my goal weight - I came within 6 pounds of it! Since then I've regained 30 pounds.

I do not want to pay WW for what I know I have to do! Plus I would like to bank the weekly fee for my future trip to WDW! If I can find the support elsewhere, I know I can do it.

We all have a lot in common and I think this may be the place that pulls everything together for me! I really am a Disney nut and I want to be able to go to Disney feeling good/proud about myself.

Here are my goals:

To lose 30 pounds.

To firm up my flab.

To go to WDW and not be embarassed by tugging and pulling at my NEW bathing suit.

To be able to buy NEW clothes for my trip (6/05).

To lose the weight soon - I will not even make ressies until I've lost 20 lbs;)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
 
You've come to the right place for support. Everyone here at WISH is so encouraging and you will find lots of motivation! I am 'eating sensibly' but there are lots of WW Wishers who can offer you help specifically to that program. Welcome to WISH!
 
We are so glad that you have decided to join us - I was in the same place as your thinking when I started almost 1 year ago (didn't want to be the fat lady in the WDW pix - didn't want pay but put $ into vacation fund) and I have found the support here to "stick with it".

Youv'e set your goals and since you are an old pro at WW you know the routine - how about joining the "no fooling around" challenge or come join us in the Monday night chatterer's 4th week committment thread - (you can join in there any ol time). I find that thread just makes me a tad more accountable and challenge can be that way too!

You can do it - will be watching for those posts of progress! And happy day one of your new adventure journey to a healthier you;)
 
Hi there and welcome to WISH. I was a former WW dropout before coming to WISH, but luckily I saved all of my program material! I started back on WW on my own a year ago and I have lost over 50 pounds. I needed some material that I had lost and I bought that from eBay. I get the support I used to get from meetings here and I still get to follow the program without paying. I was never too successful on WW before, I only lost a little over 10 pounds and gained it back, this time the difference for me is exercise. 45 minutes of exercise three days a week is all that it takes. If you are committed to getting healthy, with the support of WISH you will be successful!
