we have packed a weeks worth of snacks & quick fix meals along with a few boxes of capri sun roarin' waters. We didnt have a problem at all..

I just went to the tsa to verify and it looks like its fine, as log as you pack it in your checked baggage & stay under the weight limit...

We've done this also and it's not a problem. We only packed water bottles once. I bought 6 packs and double bagged them in ziploc bags (gallon size) just to be on the safe side. It was fine but they are heavy and shoot you up to the weight limit quickly if you're packing a lot of other food, too. I suggest just packing the food and grabbing water when you get there if that is at all possible for you.

We pack food and have water delivered. You might want to consider that option to keep your weight limit down. I know you can get water delivered through Costco.com and Staples.com.

Don't pack carbonated beverages in your suitcases! They are highly likely to explode and make a HUGE mess. Don't ask me how I know--just trust me on this one! :rolleyes1

I would avoid packing water or beverages. Should they pop/explode/break/open and the liquid manages to get to the outside of your suitecase, your luggage and all the luggage around it could be held by airport security until it is Haz Mat checked. (can take 6 hours) Don't ask how I know this. Someone whos luggage was kept hostage might figure out that I was the one to blame.

We don't pack water or other beverages because it's just easier for us to buy them once we get to Florida. However, we've packed all sorts of food/snacks in our check baggage and have never had a problem. My mom has a bunch of food allergies so she always packs a bunch of snacks and things that she can eat. On our way home, we will even pack up leftovers that we didn't get a chance to finish! Just make sure foods are packed up carefully so that they do not make a mess. Even if we reach our destination and find that the TSA has left a note saying they searched our luggage, none of the food has ever gone missing.

Just something to consider: If you'd rather not fill up your suitcases with food, you could always put together a care package and send it ahead to your resort.

We pack a suitcase with snacks , water, and pop(soda) each trip. I just make sure it is carry on size and check it! So far so good...............nothing has exploded and I got to enjoy diet Mt Dew and water at the parks without paying a million dollars!!
