I've been busy making PS for our trip in March. We're staying at WL. They will be 7 of us so I want to have as many PS as possible. We'll be on the dining plan. At least for dinner I want good, healthy non-fried foods in a nice atmosphere for adults, somewhat interesting for 4 boys. We need one more dinner idea. I have PS for dinner at Whispering Canyon, Germany's Biergarten, the Brown Derby. We had them at California Grill but plan to cancel since that one counts as 2 dinners and we wanted Rainforest Cafe at AK, but I don't see it on the dining plan list. Any other suggestions?

What about 'Ohana at the Polynesian. They have somewhat healthy stuff- salad, green beans, grilled meats and pineapple for dessert. Boma is always good, too.

OHana was on my list of possibilities. Maybe I'll do that. It would be convenient to the hotel. We have PS at Boma for breakfast. Hopefully that will be good too.

I was going to suggest Ohana too.
As for breakfast at Boma, I tried that for the first time last month an found it to be very good. There was a great variety and everything was yummy!

WE enjoyed Garden Grill.. The character intteraction was fun and we love the "fresh" down home kind of food.

I cant taste that salad now... maybe it was just so good since i had been eating burgers and hotdogs for 3 days and it was my first "real food" since being at home.

Don't forget "The Land" is closed until May...so Garden Grill won't work.

We like to go to "Japan" for the teppanyaki.

Brown Derby this year is a signature restarant so it is equal to 2 meals. They just changed it this year ! I am bummed!

Since BD takes two meal choices, for your criteria I would skip that and eat at Prime Time Cafe.
The Smores dessert is to die for. ::yes::

Uhg! This is getting old! That's two now that have changed to Signature and one I wanted which isn't on the list at all!

Perhaps we will do Prime Time or not DS meals at all.

Thanks for letting me know.

I just saw the official list from Disney and Marrakesh, the french place, and the japanesse place is not offered on the dining plan!  :confused3

What do you mean a signature meal equivalent to 2 meals?

If you dine at a signature restaurant on the dining plan it will cost you 2 meals on the plan.

Ohana- definately. Awsome food, great atmosphere.

I too, was bummed by the selection at Epcot. At least Rose, and Crown, are on my, and disney's list.

How about LeCellier? I don't know how interesting it is for kids but my dd's (7&8) loved it, especially the pretzel bread and cheese soup!!

I am going to say ohana, great place, great with kids, and definitely will not leave hungry!!

Thanks for all the help. In case anyone is interested, I have now added Ohana and Prime Time Cafe to our PS. Now we have for dinner PS: Whispering Canyon, Biergarten, Prime Time and Ohana. Ps for breakfast: Chef Mickey's and Boma.

Have you thought of Artist Point at WL? They're only open for dinner, but the food is wonderful!!

Good luck.......

Flower, Artist Point counts as "signature" restaurant now. To keep things simple, we're trying to avoid those. We may decide to eat there once we actually get there however.
