Help finding areas to live in Orlando...

Hi to all....

I am from Chicago and will hopefully be moving down to Orlando in the next few years with DH. Also hoping to work at WDW.

Looking for suggestions of what areas in Orlando to look at for a house, either new construction or existing home. Not looking for anything super fancy but don't want bare bones either.

Any help would be appreciated!!

We are moving down to Florida next month! Our house we are building in Saint Cloud is almost finished. The neighborhood is beautiful and out in the middle of nowhere.

If/when Search is working, give that a shot. There have been many threads on this board about moving to FL lately.

Just do your homework about the areas and you'll surely find one that is right for you. Good luck!

Our electrician's parents are moving to Poinciana. My BIL's parents live in Leesburg in a development called The Plantation(about 45 minutes north of Orlando), which my SIL says is very nice. I've never seen it.

I've always liked the sound of the area called Lake Mary.

How about Celebration?

I live in Davenport which is about 12-15 miles from WDW. They are building lots of new communities but lots of homes available.

I love it here. Quick commute down I-4. They are working on the road and it will be great when it is finished.
