HELP FE ideas for teenage boys!

Too bad I'm "in the same boat" as several of you folks who posted, because there are some GREAT FE ideas on here!! These "teen boy" ideas are actually perfect for boys AND girls, as I know my DD6 and most her friends are not really into princesses anymore. They grow up waaay too fast...!

I especially love the idea mini-flashlight idea!! (Any objections?)

i think candy is the best for teenagers. im a teacher in middle school and candy is what my kids love. also glow sticks and anything that glows. the girls in my classes (6th, 7th and 8th grade) love play-duh, weird i know!!

Does the ship/port restrict this? Canada Post, USPS, and most couriers will let you ship food, but if the receiver rejects it due to their own policies you are our of luck. I ship food to friends in America frequently and they ship stuff to me; never had a problem.

You cannot ship food to the port. They allow a 12X12X12 box but it cannot contain food or liquid.

Another idea for the tween/teens:

Earbuds/earphones. Good for adults too; who couldn't use an extra set on vacation?

Anyone have a $5 Below? They have $2.99 Lego bags and Skull Candy Earbuds for $5 right now.

Oh, just thought about stylus as well. Or would that be styli?

Thanks for all these great ideas! I asked my DS14, what he would like, and he said any sour candy! The more sour the better!
I asked my DS almost16, and he didn't really care, but I think candy is always a hit! :)

I did movie theatre size Sour Patch kids and Sweedish fish candy for the teens. My DS11 and DS 14 both love them.

Great thread.

I have read through all the ideas and I have come to realize that the category BOY is too large! My DS 15 would love the previous ideas: nerf ball, cards, pencils, pens, state quarters, sunglasses (especially) or some candy. Not so cool for my particular boy: bracelet, necklace, watch (uses the cell phone or just doesn't care), bandana, certainly not with his name (over age 9 too old for named items)...but younger the bandana was a great idea.

Anything Pirates of the Carribean is good - how about an item related to the new movie? or the ride? Oh my, a few candy bars and hard candy and let's call it a day! Now that I think of it, he did always pick Mickey candy bars for his meal plan snack.

Thanks to all the creative souls thinking about gifts for teen boys!!!

I have 2 boys as well, ages 13 & 15. The Nerf items are great. Playing cards, little flashlights, yes. I'd even say like a frisbee, too. The candy I see mentioned a lot. My boys are weird. Candy isn't a big deal to them the way it was for us when we were kids. I bet I could go in their rooms right now & find candy from their Christmas stockings unopened in their night stands. They just don't eat a lot of candy. When they do the super-sour stuff seems to be a hit. I don't get that at all...that stuff is painful to eat!

And thank you to the previous poster who mentioned that this is also the age group for kids who wear braces. One of my boys is still in braces and gum is a sore subject with us. He gets mad as all heck when I pitch fits over chewing gum. Like I tell him, when HE forks out the $4500 those braces cost to ME then he can chew whatever he wants.... :thumbsup2

Sorry didn't think about the gum and braces issue. If you are on my cruise in June just ignore the gum in your FE package !

I've never done the FE, so this may be out of line, but for boys, what about some internet time that they can use in the teen club or something. Maybe some tolkens for the game room???????

I found some small bags on clearance at Target - back in Jan. I might give them to the teenage boys. They are not large, but can put toiletry type items in them, or sunscreen - small stuff for the beach.

I am also considering some small notepads.

Hello my dear friend!!!

I think those luggage handle covers that you make are excellent for anyone, especially the pirate ones for the boys!!!!

Maybe I try to get too cutsie, I could do candy. I was hoping to be able to do it before we left home, but since we are flying from Minneapolis to Seattle and then getting to Vancouver a few days later, I will have to shop somewhere to get things.

How about some sort of Food on a Stick.... bringing a touch of home to others :rotfl: As we now know... any food is possible to put on a stick in MN!! :)

Another idea or two... There are a few sites where you can create your own various style puzzles (crosswords, word searches, etc). You just type in your clues/words or such, and they set up the puzzle for you.... FREE!! ;) Just make a book of mind games (even related to the cruise ship, locations, etc...) w/ a cool writing pen/pencil.

Joe Mauer stuff? Or a hockey related item (from the state of hockey ;)). I REALLY like the idea of a tween/teen/or young adult Survival Guide Book. Even for older folks too! Maybe pick up some Insta -Snow for many don't get to "enjoy" the unending season of snow and cold! The stuff is AWESOME!! Just put some in a small baggie... a little goes a long way!

We are from Indiana, so I like to get items for the FE that are uniquely from our state. Magnets, key chains are good. I live near the Albenese candy factory where they make the "best gummie bears in the world" and they also make gummy army men. I also have given chocolate from the South Bend chocolate factory.

Glad you liked those! Did the boys like them, too?

Can you buy the gummy army men on line? If so, is there a known address? My boys would love them!
