HELP EPCOT day what to do??????????

Hello everyone.......I am hoping all you professional DIS people can help me. We will be going to Epcot on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. I NEED HELP..... There will only be two of us going.....in our 40's but we are kids at heart

Which day would be better to go to Epcot....Tues or Wed ??????

I haven't been to Epcot in 10 years. I am not sure how to plan my day, which attractions to see first.......ect?????

Hi,

There shouldn't be much difference between a Tuesday and a Wednesday. But if one of those days has morning EMH you should go that day if you plan to take advantage of EMH, and go the other day if you don't plan to be there at park opening.

Soarin' is the most popular attraction at Epcot right now. Run over to the Land building (well, walk quickly..) and get a FastPass, meanwhile try Test Track and Mission Space. Turtle Talk with Crush is a fun attraction. Then the new Spaceship Earth.

In World Showcase there are only two "rides," the Three Caballeros in Mexico and the Maelstrom in Norway. There are also three movies, lots of restaurants, many outdoor performances, and goodies from each country.

Epcot is my favorite of all the parks so I may not be too helpful when I tell you, I would go both days!! Well, ok, here is what I would do - go Tuesday. That way if you don't get to see / do everything you can decide whether to go back Wednesday or move on to another park. Personally, I could spend most of one day in just the front of the park and then most of another day touring World Showcase. World Showcase has some great shows so in order to take them all in you will need to have plenty of time. My favorites are the Chinese acrobats and the Beatles tribute band (in England). Last year, though, we saw the candylady at Japan and my daughter made us go back for her next show so we could see her a second time.

I agree with the PP, I would go both days! There is a lot to see and do at Epcot AND it is so big, that you do sooooooo much walking....it would really be nice to take one day for Future World and one for WS.

Don't know if you enjoy adult beverages, but there are some treats in the various countries! Margaritas in Mexico, Grey Goose lemon slushies in France, beer in Germany, sake in Japan, beer in UK.....Something for most tastes!

The various shows are also fun. We like Off Kilter in Canada and we enjoy the films. I am not crazy about the America Experience but DH loves it, so that is a regular for us, too. We are 2 adults who like to pose with characters and there are regulars here, too: Belle & Beast in France, Alice and Mary Poppins in UK, Snow White and Dopey in Germany, Mulan in China, Jasmine & Alladin in Morocco......
Have a great time whichever day or days you go!!!!

Oh no -- how much did they change the boat ride? I actually liked it before -- esp. the ceiling fiber optic fireworks at the end -- are they still there. Is it still pretty much the same, just with the 3Cs added somehow?

Epcot is definately our favorite park. I would spend 2 days there. I would do the front of the park the first day and the World Showcase the second. Your first stop should definately be Soarin'. Get fast passes. They will run out. I also suggest getting fast passes for Test Track.
In the UK there is a Beatle's show. In the back of the Toy Store in the UK you can meet Winnie the Pooh and friends. The candylady in Japan. A mime in France. I really like the orange Marnier and Grey Goose slushies in France. I also really like the school bread in Norway.
End your night with Illuminations!

The first I went, I went on a Thursday (early March) and enjoyed seeing the Beatles imitation band. The next time I went, on a Wednesday (early December) it was their day off, and I was disappointed.

Our family loves to get snacks around the world, funnel cake in America, cream filled pastries in Norway, delicious coissants in France. It's all so good.

Also, take the time to see what's in innovations, you can even test ride a segway if you have the time.

Except for our Wishes and Fantasmic nights, My wife and I spend each night in Epcot. It is our favorite place..We love roaming the World showcase and seeing the shows and partaking in a few adult beverages. So I would vote for both nights.

I agree with much of what has been said already. If however, you do go only one day, go on early entry day, which tends to be Tuesdays. Arrive 1/2 hour before park opening and get right up to the rope (yes there really is a rope)! and stay to the right. The cast members from Soarin should be standing directly in front of you. I say stay to the right, because after rope drop, they will quickly walk you to the Land Pavillion, and as you approach they go up the left and you HAVE to stay to the right to enter the Pavillion. Then get right down to Soarin', ride this and then get a FASTPASS as you exit, then head over toTest Track, or MIssion Space, whichever you prefer. If you want to obtain a FASTPASS for either of these, get a FASTPASS when you enter Soarin', before riding, so you will be able to get another FASTPASS in a more timely manner. You cannot obtain another FASTPASS until the time indicated on your pass which will likely be your return time, or a 2 hour window. You should see the Voices of Liberty in the USA pavillion, they are really wonderful and they sing acapella so even more amazing, especially how the interior of the pavillion can project their voices. There really is a lot to see. Plan to stay open to close if you only have the one day. And keep in mind that if you are going between March and May, the Flower and Garden Festival will be going on with additional things to do as well. Good luck and have an amazing time.

I dont think it really matters what day you go, just chech what day has EMH and try to avoid that day.


The must rides in EPCOT are:

-Test Track
-Mission Space
-Soarin'
-Spaceship Earth

The lines for Mission space never really exceed a hour so it doesnt matter when you go there. We go during the 3rd busiest time of the year and the line is usually 30 or 40 minutes for it all day

Test Track usually has long lines but the line goes by fast if you want to wait. IF you dont mind riding seperately I'd suggest doing single rider, the wait for single rider rarely exceeds 30 min.

Soarin' always has the longest line, the best piece of advice I can give is go there ASAP and get fast passes unless you want to brave a LONG wait.

Spaceship Earth's lines vary. We find that a lot of people hit that as soon as they enter the park so we try to avoid it first thing. On our last trip we walked by it in the am to find a 40 min wait, we went back around 4pm and the wait was 5 min.


There's only two rides in WS and there not headliners so you dont really have to plan for them

The youngest member in my group is 14 and our favorite park is EPCOT but we only need one day there.

We really arent intrested in inovations and that stuff and we dont visit the Seas with Nemo and Friends (the ride is HORRIBLE IMO). We also dont spend too much time in the land pavillion.

We like to spend our time at WS and sit in each country and enjoy the food for awhile.

I personally couldnt see spending more then a day at EPCOT because WS is nice but its nice to visit once a trip ubt eveyone is different.

Touringplans.com has a crowd chart showing which days are best for which parks. You can see part of the chart for free but only for dates that are coming up soon. So you can pay the nine bucks to join or wait until your trip gets closer. I saw another chart on a free web site that said Wednesday is better than Tuesday for Epcot, but I can't find it now. Good luck!

They changed it a lot, but it's really cute. No more half naked dancing men at the beginning.The little children are still there, but marinettes(sp) are gone. . People selling things are gone. Fiber optics fireworks are still there.

If your game, you should get Tour Guide Mike's site for planning, if you don't have a lot of time I wouldn't do this, but it is a really great site. He has the best ideas of what to hit while there and what to miss if you don't have a lot of time/only trip you'll ever make.
I went with everything TGM said to do in the parks. Well, as much as the family allowed me to do, and when we followed TGM's plans we got the best out of all the parks, now I'm not saying there are bad things to do in the parks, there are just some things in the parks that are "not to miss" and things that if you have a lot of time or you frequent the parks you could actually do and are great but not the "don't want to miss" stuff.
Having said that, when we hit all the things high lighted by TGM during our day at Epcot's Future World and we were on our way back to the POP to quick shower, cool off and redress for dinner at the Coral Reef, dh wanted to stay and see and do all the things that he thought we skipped over, the kids and I went on and when we came back and met up with him, dh said that I was right (TGM was right) about missing some of the things that weren't as great as the things we did hit. He never listens.
I loved hearing this because I did wonder about missing some stuff, but dh confirmed that I would live if didn't see it this trip.

My family loved Epcot most from our recent Disney trip! We loved SOARIN' and pretty much hit every attraction possible. Our favorite place to eat was Germany for the lunch buffet...get reservations. We also enjoyed the boat ride in Mexico and a the counter service of Mexican food outside. Our kids are 5 and 3 and they loved Epcot the most out of all parks! Hard to believe, but true!
