OK - split decision and I need some help. Along the lines of WWTBAM, calling an absolute stranger on the street!

We are on the DDP, and have eaten at Le Cellier before, and loved it. However, we are taking cousins and grandparents this time, and want to take in Illuminations in all of its glory. :grouphug: So, do you:

a) Take a chance, make an ADR at UK Rose & Crown, hoping to get a good waterside seat to view Illuminations with a tasty ol' Guiness :drinking1

b) Go back to Le Cellier again, since it is (in our opinion) the best eats at EPCOT, and chance to find a good spot for Illuminations :teleport:

What do you think? :confused3 Thanks for your opinions!!! :thumbsup2

I would go with Option B. Le Cellier like you said is the "Best eats at Epcot!" I would rather dine there and view Illuminations after dinner then take a chance on R&C. We ate on the deck during Illuminations the night before my Dad got married at the Poly. It was nice, but not as good as Le Cellier!

Speaking as someome from the UK, having eaten at the the R&C it may be a good view if you get it, but the food is not that good, and the view can be spoilt by people crowded around you to watch.

I would go to Le Cellier and then find a nice spot to watch Illuminaitons afterwards.

I would select Le Cellier. Our last trip to Rose & Crown was the worst on our trip. I agree with Amyrlin, after doing an internship in the UK, this was not the meal I was expecting. Not horrible, just not good. We LOVE Le Cellier! :thumbsup2

Hmm.... I'd figure there's got to be a better option! :rotfl:

Seriously, I'd go with Rose and Crown. Even if you don't get a view of Illuminations, they let you stand in the back of the terrace during the show, and that's pretty nice. And the food, while not great, is better than Le Cellier's.

...so far the recommendations are coming in strongly for Le Cellier, although bicker's opinion is pretty weighty...

any one else?
