I love Natalie's black and white autograph pages. I want to use the ones she has already made but I need more characters. Can someone make more for me or can you explain how to make them?

Dolly already explained to me in really good detail how to make autograph pages so I know that part but I would love a tutorial on how to make the silhouettes please, if no one else can just make them for me.

All of the Disigners here are so wonderful to make such magical things for peoples disney trips. I just want to say THANK YOU and I really appreciate all the help I have gotten in such a short time being a member here on disboards.

Thanks, Phoebe:lovestruc

I have never run across Natalie's black and white autograph pages...but just found them. Making a silhouette is super easy and something that you can do in MS Word! Here is how:

1. Make sure you get your image from www.disneyclips.com or make sure it is a type of file that is only the image and doesn't have a block around it. gif and png files usually work well for this.
2. Save the image to your pictures...then insert the picture into word. You can't copy and paste directly into word as it will no longer be a gif or png file and will have a block around the image.
3. Next click on the image so that the picture toolbar opens up
4. In the picture toolbar click on the second image starting on the left side that is the "color" button. In the dropdown menu click on "grayscale".
5. Now look for the two "sun" buttons and click on the one with the down arrow for "less bright". Keep clicking on this button until your image is completely black.

To make Natalie's autograph pages.
1. Open up your word document and make it the size that you want.
2. Next insert the black and white autograph card that she made with just the mickey head border.
3. Next insert a text box on the bottom corner where you want the picture to go. Then go to "format" and "textbox" and change the "colors and lines tab" and "no line" (You want to leave the background white to make yours similar to Natalie's)
4. Next make sure you are happy with the size and placement of the textbox
4. Once you are happy with the placement and size of the textbox...click on it so that you see the blinking cursor inside the textbox. Now insert the picture you want to use inside of the textbox.
5. Do steps 3-5 in the directions above to make the image all black.
6. Then drag the corners of the picture if you need to play with the size of the picture.

You can also just insert the picture over the border if you don't care about the border showing around and in open spaces of the character. To do this insert the picture below the border. Make it all black. Then click on the "text wrapping" button and "in front of text". Then drag it on top of the border.

Let me know if this works for you.

Helpful hint...since she didn't have the names on her card...you may want to handwrite or print them with the computer on the back of the card so that you won't come across one and forget which character it is for.

Thanks Dolly! You are so helpful and you explain it so it sounds easy. I can't wait to try it. About the names, I was thinking of getting the walt disney font (I saw you explained that somewhere, I'll have to find it again) and adding the names to the pages.

Thanks a bunch, Phoebe

Let me know how it works. And I think adding the names is a good idea especially since they are silhouettes...it could be hard finding the right character's card when you need it.

Here is how to download "waltograph" the disney font:

• Go online to www.dafont.com
• Search, find and open a font called “Waltograph”
• Click on the “Download” button
• Then click on “Open”
• Next you will need to unzip the file. In most computers, a screen will pop up with a box on the left that says “folder tasks” and in the box click on “extract files” Follow the prompts by clicking “next” and “finish” making sure that the final box has a check mark next to “show files”
• A new box will pop up. In this box, copy “Waltograph42” and “WaltographUI”. Do this by holding down your “control” button on the bottom left corner of your keyboard and click each file. Then on the top of the screen click on “edit” and in the drop down box click on “copy”.
• Next click on your computers “Start” button
• Then click on “Settings”
• Then click “Control Panel”
• Then open the file that says “Fonts”
• At the top of the font screen click on “Edit” and then in the drop down menu click on “Paste”
