Our trip is coming up fast...3 weeks today!! On our last day, our plane leaves at 3:55pm. I was thinking about doing a character breakfast that day b/c I don't think there will be time for anything else, but I am not sure what time the ME picks us up. I thought it would be a nice way to end the trip. We will have to pay out of pocket since we will be out of TS (Mickey's BBQ takes 2). It will be me, DH, DS4. and DS1.

I was wondering what character breakfast you recommend?? Would it be worth $50 out of pocket breakfast??

If we do a breakfast, what do we do with our luggage once we check out??

Thank you for all your help.

I say go for it! ME will come 2-3 hours before your departure. You can leave your bags at the front desk once you check out.
If you didn't do Chef Mickeys during your stay, this might be a fun way to end the trip. It's very upbeat with parties every 20 minutes and it is a buffet, so everyone would be able to find something.
If you are looking for something a little more low key to "wind down" your trip, you might try 1900 park fare. Plenty of characters, but not so "loud". Similar buffet to chef mickeys too.
Also depends on if you have a character preference.

Hi,

If your flight is at 3:55, ME will pick you up around 1:00. If you are checking your luggage on ME you can do that at the resort. If you are not checking your luggage on the flight home, the hotel will store it for you until you are ready to get it.

You will certainly have plenty of time for a breakfast and even to hit a park until around noon.

Cape May has the best character breakfast. The food is awesome and seeing Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale in their bathings suits is adorable. The characters spend a lot of time with you and they play games and "talk" to you by writing on the paper tablecloths

if you go to a resort for breakfast, how do you get there?? we are staying in pop. do you have to ride to a park and then go to the resort??

We're leaving on Saturday afternoon so we're doing Chef Mickey at 8:00 a.m. just make sure you have enough time to get to the airport.

I'd recommend either Cape May Cafe or Chef Mickey. We enjoyed both and have ressies for both for our upcoming trip in October. DS (who was 14 months when we went last December) liked Chef Mickey's so much that this trip we have breakfast and dinner ressies there. But then Mickey is his favorite so Chef Mickey's is a fave. The breakfast buffet there is good and the characters (especially Goofy) spent TONS of time at our table. We have about 10 pictures of Goofy with DS because he spent so much time at our table being silly and playing with DS.

Not sure about the transportation...although since Chef Mickey's is at the Contemporary you could take a bus to the park and then hop the monorail to the Contemporary. That's another thing DS liked about Chef Mickey's...the monorail goes by above you while you're eating.

We had a late breakfast at CM on our last day and it was fun. We left a little later than you so we hit MK for a while, but it really was a nice way to end our trip. We paid OOP and I thought that it was worth it.

Where are you staying? I'd pick whichever character breakfast is easiest for you to get to and from. We're staying at the Beach Club in Oct/Nov, so our character breakfast will be at Cape May. It's one of our favorites, with Minnie, Goofy, and Chip and Dale in beach costumes. It's well worth the money, and it's a nice way to end the trip.
