HELP!! DH broke his hand - restrictions???

DH broke his hand during his Tae Kwon Do third degree black belt test this weekend. He broke FOUR stacked boards AND three bones in his right hand. Dr. can't cast it until swelling goes down and we are set to go to WDW Sept. 5-10. Are there any ride/attraction restrictions anyone knows about since he can't grasp the bars with his right hand??? He will have it splinted and wrapped.

Oh, yes, despite the broken hand he did achieve third degree status - quite an accomplishment for him!!

I train in full contact mixed martial arts fighting (Muay Thai and BJJ) and have gone to DL (I imagine WDW is the same) with broken wrists and toes...all with no problems. If he has a plaster cast, he should be careful on water rides like Splash Mountain, Kali River Rapids, etc. I have never been denied access to a ride with a splint or cast on.

In re-reading this it make me wonder why your husband and I picked this hobby!

I kickbox. Now have 1/3 surgeries on ankle, hehe.

When we went in June my son got his cast off his broken hand before we left (yes), so I can't tell you park recommendations, but I would recommend him getting a "swimmer's cast" so he can take showers and swim.
