I bought our tickets in January for our sept. trip. I bought the non-refundable tickets. My wife now has found out she has to take 2 weeks off instead of 1 so she doesnt lose her other week of vacation for the year, and cant really take it before we go. Since she has another week off, I thought it would be nice to stay a couple more days in WDW. What happens if we dont show up on the return flight, but want to leave a couple days later?? Do I not want to do this, or should i call to rebook. I have a feeling it is 100 per ticket(X4) + the new rate(about 50 each x 4) for each ticket. I dont feel its worth it then to spend about 600 extra for just a few days, plus the hotel bill and food. We are buying Prem AP on this trip, so admission is not a problem. Is there an easy and cheaper way to stay a couple extra days?? Thanks.

Here is some info I found out from delta:

Normally its $100 per ticket to change. If the ticket is in the same class as I purchased-class U-and it is available on the new date, and I only want to change the return, not the outgoing as well, it would be the $100 fee. The last agent I spoke with said since I purchased my tickets on Jan 18, 2001, the $100 per ticket fee was not in effect, it was $75 per tix at that time. So for me, its $75 per tix to change. Back in Feb, I got a lower price on our tix and got 4-$59 travel vouchers sent to us that must be used within 1 year. If i use those, im only out now $16 per tix, or $64 total. What do you think? Does this sound right?? And if we do stay, do we stay until Tuesday or Wednesday instead of coming home on sunday. Then where do we stay? Since we are doing GF and WL, i was thinking maybe we could get an AP rate and stay at an All star or Mod for just the last couple day. Help!!

You might be better off dollar-wise checking the one-way fares on the date you want to return. If those are high, you could price a new roundtrip ticket with your return date as the outbound portion, and not use the return.

With your new information, only being out $64.00, it seems worth it to me!!!! You could add on to your already existing hotel reservation & get the AP discount & be out only a small amount of money relatively speaking.... I'd stay til Wednesday if it were me, you can never stay too long!! You could also spend a few nights over at the Dolphin if you want to try something new...

It is not a good idea to miss your assigned flight and simply show up later. FOr that they reserve the right to "revoke all of your remaining flight coupons and return flights" for that itinerary.

If due to a flight delay you miss the flight by a few minutes, even if all you did was go to dinner in the meantime across the airport complex, you have a case for getting on a later flight at no extra charge, but it may take a long argument with no guarantee.

Instead you should call them and formally make the change.
