maybe some hot water to melt it a little

Put a wash rag in the Microwave & then wipe. You can always try it in a spot no one sees if your worried about the wall treatment

I completely understand..... :thumbsup2 My oldest DD and her friend decided to get artistically creative with a five flavor pack of chapstick when they were younger.... :rolleyes1 They drew all over the wall behind the sofa in our family room... We used Simple Orange spray and other cleaners... Took us a long time before we were finally able to get the waxy mess and smell off.... We still could tell where they did it years later when we re-painted the room.... :sad2:

I feel your pain. My 12yoDD drew pictures with Desitin when she was 4yo.
We washed the walls with Dawn & hot water to get most of it off. Then sanded the sheetrock down and patched it. It still bled through. We painted it with Kilz and painted over that with 2 coats of regular paint. Finally we can't see the Desitin on the walls anymore. She still has Desitin on the back of her door  When we move we'll have to replace the whole door.

Can't live with them, can't live without them.

Sorry about the chapstick, I too would get a rag with some warm water, pop it in the microwave for a couple of seconds, until it's steaming (be careful, it's hot!) then put it on the wall to melt the chapstick, have a dry rag handy to get the wax off.

Or

Try an ice cube so it will get hard and you can peel it off the wall maybe?

Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I'm thinking if you get it hot, it will smear all over. I would try scraping excess off, and maybe like Icebrat said, rub it with ice, like you would candle wax. Then try a heavy duty cleaner- maybe call Lowes or Home Depot- I'm sure this won't be the first time they've answered the "My kid colored on the walls with _________. How do I get it off?" question. GOOD LUCK!!!

maybe one of those mr clean magic erasers?

i can't even tell you how much i love them! i erased all the scum from the bath floor with it.
