Help! DD has lice

Just be aware that some of the "natural" treatments are just merely plain old hair conditioner in disguise. I compared the "active" ingredient in one natural treatment to a bottle of hair conditioner while I was at the store and realized this. Some of them are meant to just be a nit comb-out lubricant and the descriptions are misleading.

The best thing you can do at this point is to keep going through her hair in teeny tiny sections every day for AT LEAST 2 or 3 weeks looking for nits. It's really important because even though you think you have been thorough they are so hard to see.

Sorry you're going thru this--I did and it was AWFUL. My advice would be to wage war, not just do battle. When I found out my 2 DDs had it, I made the mistake of not really going all out against the little suckers initially. After the 2 week period - they were still around. That's when I turned into a lice killing machine. I vacuumed vacuumed vacuumed every inch of the house - mattresses, cushions, etc. Bagged up every single furry stuffed animal there was. I washed a lot of sheets. My DH and I went thru every strand of long thick hair and if we found a nit we just plucked that hair out and threw it away! I was such a nutcase during that time- I lost 8 pounds! But they went away and haven't come back...although I do still fear them.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!
