So my trip was all planned and books with adrs being bookEd next week. My mom told me today that her and my dad would like to join us. Which is awesome. I just don't know anything about a. 2 bedroom at okw. I doubt I will
get hospitality house at this late a date for October

1). Where will be closest building with a 2 bed We will need 1st floor but don't want to be under a gv?

3) is there any benifit to a dedicatEd rather than a lockoff. I think we want a lock off so my parents can have some of there on space if my kids get crazy

4). What is the deal with accessing the master bath through bedroom vs laundry room? We have stayed in each and don't care but this time laundry room acres is better

Any suggestions are aPpreciated
Mobility issues I will rent a scooter for my dad he won't be going to any parks but just to get around going to dinners

Call MS and see if they can put you in buildings 62, 63 or 64. These buildings have elevators, are close to Hospitality House and have the door to the bathroom from the laundry room. If you explain the scooter situation they may be able to help you out. Good luck!

And if you can't get one of those buildings, you need to request a first floor villa because all the rest don't have elevators.

When you book a two bedroom at OKW, they usually put you in a dedicated. You will have to request a lock off two bedroom.

When I stay at OKW I always have them note on the ressie that I have a scooter and need to be on the 1st floor or in an elevator building. I have always had something close to HH. It is my understanding that since most units do not have elevators, they set some aside specifically to accommodate guests with mobility issues.

I would stick with a ground floor unit close to the HH. Using a ECV in a small elevator can be challenging.

Good to know thanks. He has never used an ECV to ground floor is probably better for him.

What is the difference between dedicated and lock off?

Actually, although I've requested either elevator building or 1st floor because of the scooter, I have always gotten a room on the 1st floor near HH:thumbsup2

For your group, I think a lock-off would be better. A dedicated room has one entrance, the main entrance into the foyer. A lock-off has two entrances, the one bedroom foyer entrance and the studio entrance, it also has a kitchenette i the studio, so your parents can make their own coffee in the morning without bothering anyone who is sleeping in the living room, and the studio will have its own small balcony.

If you need the laundry room entrance to the bathroom, you'll need to be buildings 30 and higher.

Thanks for the help. I am waiting for my extra resale points to be deposited so I can book it hopefully it is soon. Before everything is booked. Os it harder to geta 2 bedroom on weekday or weekend ? I have half of the points I need so I could book part of it

Guests with mobility disabilities may be placed anywhere in the resort, just on the first floor. The fully accessible villas with roll in showers are located throughout the resort.
If you don’t end up near Hospitality House, you can take any bus to the Hospitality House. Since Hospitality House is a separate booking category, it is possible there may be no villas available in that area when you arrive.

If you are interested in renting an ECV, post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread has links to off site companies that rent ECVs.

Thanks sue. They do no not have any hh left that is why I was hoping to get close to it. I am going to see if I can waitlist it. I will check out the info on ECV. We are hoping to find one that can fold down and fit in the retail car so we can take it vb when we leave okw. I read up on it a while ago but. Need to look into it again. Dad said he won't use it but he needs it even though he isn't going to the park

My bad. I don't need an accessible villa so maybe that factors into it... or perhaps I've just been really lucky... even when I wasn't able to book HH, I have always been in that area...

One reason I prefer that location frankly is because I can board the bus first on Peninsula Road... makes it much easier for me to maneuver the scooter without disturbing other people...

I imagine the space is basically the same with either. The dedicated has a door (with a lock I believe) to what would be the studio (second bedroom), so if they want to barricade themselves in there they could. Only difference is that with a dedicated there's no separate patio/balcony or outside door and no kitchenette in there, so they have to come out sometime! :)
