Help! DD 2 decided to portray her "art" on our beige microfiber couch. :scared1: She used a dark blue crayola crayon to do so. Any advice on how to get it out???

We have a microfiber couch, they told us to only use warm water. . . .(and if does not come out there is a 7 yr warr. they replace, but could only use WARM WATER)

but I do know goo gone works on crayon, but have never had to use on the couch

Sorry. I don't know how to help you out. My latest problem is blue sharpie on an embroidered, personailzed cloth chair.

Yeah and she made sure to color in her white embroidered name with it:mad: !

We use brake cleaner as our last resort. We've gotten crayon off painted walls and marker off the microfiber sofa with it.

It smells hideous so I have my husband do it.

I'd try warm water and soap, and use a brush.

The permanent maker didn't come off ours tho - had to flip the cushion. Now there are marks on the other side. :sad2:

Good luck.

I've always used warm water only on mine and it's always gotten whatever it is out. I don't know if crayon has ever been one of the culprits, though :confused3 I know it took out washable marker, and I think dry erase (which doesn't come out of clothes  ) marker.

Could you try a Mr. Clean Eraser?

::yes:: We have a brown microfiber couch and love seat and my DS drew "bootiful" pictures on both with non-washable crayons. The Mr Clean Eraser was the only thing that worked. And it didn't hurt the fabric or color at all.

I like the Mr. Eraser idea, that works on everything!

Does anyone know if it is safe to steam clean a microfiber couch??? If so I need to know ASAP! TIA!

My niece had magic markers in a backpack & apparently the covers were off. She wanted to sit in the front seat of my BRAND NEW 3 DAY OLD CAR while we went out to see Christmas lights. Well with all the in & out of the car to see lights, the markers managed to draw a nice "line" about 4 inches wide across the light beige seat back. :scared:

We only noticed it when we got home since it was dark out. Being Xmas Eve, DH ran to Walmart before they closed & picked up a spray can off 3M Car Upholstery Cleaner.

Meanwhile, my DSIL is ready to kill dear neice. She's trying to figure out how she's going to buy me a brand new seat for my brand new car. Telling neice that Santa is not bringing her any gifts afterall. Poor thing.

DH worked at the seat with the cleaner & paper towels blotting out the marker, that had seep deep into the padding of the seat. He did get it all out. NO ONE THOUGHT IT WOULD COME OUT!!! My DSIL was sooooo relieved, she wanted to right 3M a letter of testimony. :rotfl:

The next day, a little bit was visible, so DH worked at it again & you would NEVER even know anything happened. :goodvibes

BTW, it also easily removed all marker from the backpack & clothing - both early Christmas presents from relatives.

When we bought ot microfiber couches, the man at the furniture store said they used rubbing alcohol to get out a ball point pen mark. I have not tried this myself, and I would try it on an unnoticeable place before you worked on the crayon.

We have had our couches for almost 3 years, and there hasn't bene anything I have not been able to get out! (Knocks on wood).

Good luck.

If the crayons are made out of wax, place a layer of paper towels over the "art" and rub gently with a warm iron.

The iron will melt the wax and the paper towels will absorb the stain.

This works great on all wax spills.
