What type of glue should I use on styrofoam? A lot of projects say low temp glue gun but I'm afraid it will melt the styrofoam. Do I need thick white craft clue?

My daughter is doing a solar system project. Should I cut off part of each planet so that it will lay flat on her board? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks,

Lori

I would use Tacky Glue. I seem to recall seeing a glue specifically made for styrofoam at Joann's. I'd ask at the craft store.

I've used a glue gun on styrofoam with no problems. My glue gun isn't very hot; I think I paid $7 for it if that tells you anything. But it holds wonderfully.

Thanks everyone. The Solar System is now complete.

Now my son has a project due on the Bodie Lighthouse. When will the insanity end.
