ok here is my problem, i know that if you book a package and add the ddp to it you have to get how many people there are in your package, so for us that would be 2 adults and 2 juniors (12-14). but lets say that i buy the package with no dining and 2 months from now i want to add dining but i want to buy dining for just 1 adult and my 2 kids. can you do this? the reason i'm asking is this, we want to do the dining plan but I just had gastric by pass surgery and since my eating has changed i dont think it would be to my advantage to pay for adult meal ticket for myself. it would be a waste of food and money! thats why i was thinking of just buying 1 adult n 2 juniors or 1 adult and 3 juniors the extra junior for myself. can anyone help me as what to do?
thanks so much :flower3:

I don't think so. You have to buy the dp for everyone in your party.

PP is right, you need to get dining plan for everyone in your party. Also, in terms of the dining plan, you would have 4 adults in your party, as far as Disney Dining is concerned anyone age 10 and older pays "adult" price.

For your situation, DDP may not be the best value. You might actually do better paying for meals OOP and only ordering food in the amounts that you and your family will actually eat.

as other posters have said you have to buy it for all members in your party which would be considered 4 adults.

It is a huge amount of food.

When my mom & I went in September we ended up splitting most of our meals so the servings weren't so big.

We would split a counter service for breakfast & and another one for lunch.
Because our servings were smaller we felt like snacking some too. They do have options such as fruit, fruit cups, yogurt parfaits, etc for snack options.

You might want to check www.allearsnet.com website. GO under menus to see where you would be eating and do the math. chances are you would not be ordering dessert too which might make it cheaper to pay oop for your meals instead.

You can't buy DDP for only some party members. It must be added to the reservation for everyone in your party age 3 or over.

There is no "junior" price for dining: "adult" is age 10 and over, "child" is age 3-9. Children under 3 are not eligible for the plan.

The "junior" designation for packages refers to the room reservation, not the dining. It is to designate that you have persons in your room who are older than the "child" ages and are not eligible for child tickets or dining, but are too young to count toward an extra adult charge for the room.
