OK, Should we spend the extra$$$$$ on tickets to the Cirque (which we have never saw) or MVMCP? (Also never been to). Which would you choose? Please help me decide.
Thanks,

I have done both of these. If I had to choose one it would be Cirque, hands down! It is difficult to describe Cirque, but it is so amazing; it is truly spellbinding! MVMCP, on the other hand, I can do without. Most people love this event, but when I attended it was so crowded and we were able to get very little done, and were not able to see very many of the shows, before it was time to line up for the parade. The parade is great, however it is usually shown at least once a week, outside of MVMCP (it was shown on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., during the week we were at WDW in Dec '99, which is the trip we happened to see MVMCP).

Even though "La Nouba" is strictly an Orlando engagement, sometimes Cirque tours around the country in other engagements. You may have the opportunity to see other Cirque shows. If you have kids, you might want to weigh the Christmas party more.

We were two single adults, but we did MNSSHP last year and had a blast. We are doing MVMCP this year, and are looking forward to it very much!

NO CONTEST here...
MVMCP !!! hands down!

I have been to both, we went to Cirque last year and thought it was OK. wont be doing it again.
MVMCP is pure Disney Magic!!!!!!! Have been to about 8 or 9 parties already, and are going to 2 more this year!! :)

have fun!

Laura :)

14 days til WDW!!!! YIIPPPPEEEE!!!! :) :) :)

Here's the way we look at it. We're on vacation, it's not like we have the opportunity to visit WDW every month so we tend to save a little extra when we are not at WDW so we can spend it there.

If you can manage the extra $, I'd try and do both. If time is a problem I would chose the one that is less frequently available. That would lead me to advise you to go to MVMCP.

Cirque is there year round except for 2 or 3 weeks when they take a break. You can check out their website to find out when that is.

We are doing both this vacation so I'll let you know which we enjoyed more when we get back.

MVMCP!

It probably costs less, and is a much more "magical" I guess. You also gain extra time in the parks!

The Christmas parade will not be shown during the first few weeks of Dec. except during MVMCP and during the taping of it on Sat. Dec. 6. If you were going to be there on Dec. 6 you would be able to see the Christmas parade for "free" without paying for MVMCP, although MK would be very crowded that day.

We went to MVMCP for the first time last Dec. My DH loved it! Our kids were 2 and 5 at the time and they enjoyed it too but I had expected them to. I hadn't realized how much my DH would enjoy the experience. Totally put him in the Christmas mood. We had not been planning on another trip this year (we took extended family this spring) but when Disney announced their military special, we just had to go for Christmas time again. Top of our list is MVMCP :)

We went to Cirque this spring. Our large group had kids from 3 - 9 years of age, all of them loved it and sat still for the entire thing. Even now, my nephews are still talking about it. I saw Cirque in Vegas years ago, and actually liked that show better, although I liked the one at Disney as well. I think there will be another chance to see Cirque, if not at Disney, somewhere else. Worth it and totally watchable, but not a necessary part of the Disney vacation IMO. You may not make it back to Disney for Christmas time again, go for MVMCP while you have the chance. Happy planning!

We've been to MVMCP every year since 1992 and going again this year most years we went twice. It is part of holiday tradition now.We love Christmas Parade the snow on Main Street the live shows it really fills your batteries with holiday spirit.::yes:: :wave2: :goodvibes :wizard:
