Hi,
We have a 3 and 2 year old.Last year we stayed at a junior suite WVL.This year we are going to try a DVC resort. My kids and wife love MK.We have an autistic daughter who loved MK and it really brought her out of her shell. We are going to be vacationing in Florida the whole month of March and would like to go when it is the least busy.Any suggestions on when to go and where to stay would be greatly appreciated. My daughter is on a very strict special diet that is why we would like to rent points for a DVC.I havent picked up the unofficial 2006 guide book yet,so I dont know that window after winter break and before spring break.Lastly,I would like to rent points for a one bedroom DVC wherever recommended for easy access to MK.Should we visit other parks,or are our children to young for anything else?Thank you all so much!!!

Hi Tank1988,

The Villas at Wilderness Lodge will give you the quickest access to the Magic Kingdom either by boat or bus. I don't have the answer for the quietest time in March - the Spring Breaks of different schools all seem to run together. March is Magic Season for point calculations, Sun-Thurs nights are 30 points, Fri and Sat are 60 points for a 1 bedroom suite.

Your young children may also really enjoy Animal Kingdom.

Take care,

Charlotte

How long do you actually plan to stay @ WDW in March? As Charlotte just posted, March is considered one of the "high" seasons. If you truly want to travel when the crowds are minimal, Jan/Sep/Oct/Nov (excl. Thanksgiving week) and Dec (excluding Christmas week), will be your best bet to avoid long lines and higher point requirements.

If you must travel in March, try to plan on the least amount of Fri/Sat nights as you can to conserve points. You may also want to consider staying at OKW. It's not as close to the Magic Kingdom but the point requirements are lower and the resort would probably be a calmer setting for your DD.

Why don't you try some of the other parks and if DD becomes too stimulated, just leave and go back to the villa until she's ready to go back to the MK or AK. You may be able to find other things that interest her (like feeding the ducks, etc).

Good luck with your decision and I hope it's a very enjoyable trip for the entire family! :goodvibes
