Help choosing 2018 trip

Definitely August between those two options.

Love March weather. But hate crowds.

Thing is, you may end up with large crowds in August, too. Our last mid-August trip saw several days eventually "upgraded" to 10s (scare quotes around "upgraded" because that's not the kind of upgrade you want ). But we've gone at other times in mid-August and found crowds very manageable.

I guess I'd lean mid-August, but I think it comes down to which you personally can tolerate better: high heat/humidity or high crowds.

Yeah Easter week will be sky high crowds but gorgeous weather most likely. August will have lower crowds but atrocious weather. Tough call. There are a lot of threads on here about August weather if you search. It's bad. It's not just hot. It's the hottest hot and the humidity feels deadly. And the daily thunderstorms can wreak havoc with the afternoons. I would be very honest with yourself about how your crew will do in the extreme heat. Some people do fine, some can't deal.

Can't 'Second' this enough!!! I'm deep south and I'll tell you August broiling temps with humidity is too much even for me. Not used to it - no way. Of course, would not want to go at Easter either!! LOL

Been to WDW once over spring break back in the 1990, without kids....NEVER AGAIN.....90 minute waits for everything!!! Went for DD's college break in March in 2014...ugh! Weekend crowds were BAD...weekdays were doable. Went once in August a while back...much better. Remember some rides at universal were walk-on...but that was before HP. Another vote for August. Water parks are great in August.
