other than MK what is the best park for boys 4 and 2? I have been to all 4 and just cant seem to make up my mind, plus I have not been since 1999. we were originaly doing just MK for their 1st trip but now may have a chance to add another. Opinion? tia:)

I think with two little boys, Animal Kingdom might be the one. It's not my favorite park but I can see how little guys would love it. The Lion King show is a must.

AK is a great idea because your kids will get to see the animals and its very kid friendly, aside from the new EE coaster.
OTOH, AK closes early and it seems hottest there.

I'd probably agree with AK too!

Looks like the consensus is AK. I'm leaning that way too. ITTBAB, safari, the new Nemo show, Lion King....they will love it all. As of last year when we went on our trip they had a character breakfast at Restaurantasaurus that our kids loved. And with an earlier closing time (due to the animals) this park would work perfect for your little ones.

Not another thought? Oh no, because I was going to suggest MGM or DHS, whatever it's called these days. Playhouse Disney is very popular with the age group of your boys and then there are the Cars characters and Muppet Vision.

Personally, AK is not appealing to me and you couldn't pay me to sit through that Lion King show again but that's just my opinion.

Do you have hoppers? Maybe a half day at AK and half at MGM??

Well, I think that Animal Kingdom has a lot to offer for small children especially with the Lion King show, Rafiki's Planet Watch, and the Safari. But, on the other hand, my 4 year old loves MGM. There is a lot to do there - the Little Mermaid Show, Honey Shrunk the Kids Playground (which is too cool), the Muppetvision. And, they have a lot of characters out - especially most boys love the Power Rangers. I would opt for MGM

We were all hyped to bring dd to AK when she was 2yo and she just wasn't all that interested. I think that the animals are a bit too far away for them to REALLY be into it. Other than the animals there really isn't much for them to do there. Even the boneyard was a bit too old for her to handle.

I would go w/ MGM over AK. You have the Muppets, Playhouse Disney and the playground there.. much more for them to recognize and interact w/.

My vote is for MGM. My four year old isn't all that interested in AK. We rarely spend more than half a day there. But he LOVES MGM. Probably because that is where the power rangers hang out. But he loves the muppet show, the Mermaid show, and Star Wars.

I am split between MGM and Animal Kingdom...

Epcot is my favorite park, but it's much more adult.

I think Epcot, DS/MGM or AK would be fine. DS/MGM if they are really into all that Playhouse Disney stuff. Epcot if they want to ride the Nemo ride or go slowly past Dinosaur scenes. Or AK.

If you go to AK, I wouln't take them (or at least not the little one) to see ITTBAB. It scares the poop out of most toddlers.

I would go with MGM, then again...........tee hee....No either AK or MGM would be a great choice and either one would work, but I think they would love Fantasmic because my boys did at that age, plus they have The Muppets, Pizza Planet, LOTS of Character Greetings along with a great parade. Have fun where ever you choose.

Something to be said for all of them. I'd say MGM and Epcot were more popular with both 2 and 4 year old boys. AK has a great playground (Dig Site) but he didn't like the Africa or Asia trails or Conservation Station.

MGM: Cars Stunt Show, Muppets, Great Movie Ride, Playground, Star Tours (4 yr old only).

Epcot: Innoventions (they love some of the exhibits), Journey into Imagination (and play area there), Turtle Talk, Test Track (4 yr old only), Maelstrom, toy trains at German, Japanese rock garden, English garden.

Basically anyplace they can run around (especially with other kids) and raise hell they will enjoy.

My 2 and 4 year-olds preferred AK to MGM, hands-down! :thumbsup2 Almost everything in AK can be enjoyed by kids that age (EE, ITTBAB, and Dinosaur are the exceptions that come to mind). The safari, animal trails, shows (Nemo, Lion King, and Pocohontas), Triceratops Spin, and the Boneyard playground were their favorites. My 2 year-old was even tall enough to do Kali, but they did not like getting soaked mid-Feb!

At the Studios most of the attractions were too scary for my two little ones. :scared1: The only things they really enjoyed there were Beauty & the Beast and the playground... They also enjoyed Playhouse Disney, but it wasn't a huge hit with them because it features a lot of characters from shows that haven't been on the air for a while. The character meal with JoJo and Little Einsteins was good, however.

If your kids aren't as timid as mine, perhaps they'll enjoy the Studios more. You'll just need to factor in their personalities when making your choice. :)

I would think either AK or MGM - depends on if your boys like animals or characters/shows best. My 6 year old granddaughter would pick AK.

:headache: It was a toss between mgm and ak. they would get a kick out of the pixar characters and I love love love Fantasmic but on a whole I am leanning to AK.

Epcot isn't just for adults anymore. The first year we went to WDW we skipped Epcot because we were told the kids would be bored. We decided to go to Epcot this past trip and THEY LOVED EPCOT. After the MK, Epcot is their favorite. They are 7, 4 and 1 (almost 2). They loved going through the different countries. Kids don't always have to wait in long lines for a two minute ride to have fun. There are opportunities to see characters, a ride or two and eat yummy food. It would be a more "relaxed" day than your MK day. So, it might be a nice change. Also, Illuminations was their favorite fireworks show. It was a nice production with the globe in the water, music and fireworks. A nice way to end our evening. So, my vote is for Epcot.
