Help Carriage Rides at FW?

My parents are going to WDW for thei first time alone (for the first week) and DM has asked me about FW carriage rides. I vaguely remember that they exist, but other than that I have no details. Can anyone help fill me in on things like duration, cost, exact location, and booking time frames? Any help is, as always, appreciated!

repost this onto the Camping Board, we've discussed the carriage rides quite often. They look very romantic, big black horse pulling a beautiful white carriage with red upholstery. Came through our 300 loop every evening just after dark, clip clop, clip clop!

My wife and I have reservations for the carriage ride the 1st week of Dec. The cost is $30 (cash or charge to room only) and it departs from Crocket's. We made resevations by calling Fort Wilderness (407-824-2832). I believe they start at 6:00.

I just made our reservation and was told 60 days out. Thanks for the reminder, Patsal. I've been meaning to call and your post reminded me. I tried calling a general FW # that I found in a Passporter and was told to call 407-824-2734 which is actually the FW Kennels. They make the ressies there. I didn't try wdwagain's # because I didn't make a note of it. Maybe both #s work.

I did the carriage ride two weeks ago. It was wonderful. I have posted a few photos in my on-line photo album: click here to view carriage ride photos. My photos don't do the ride justice, but at least they'll let you know what one of the carriages looks like.

Thanks so much for the information. I think I will book it for them and when i do find out if I can pick up the tab as well. I think it might make a more memorable Anniversary gift than the Hallmark ornament I usually purchase!
