Help. Can't figure out how to get National quote online

Okay, I know this sounds silly, but I can't figure out how to get a National quote from the National website.

I have one of those Emerald Club card things that I ordered when they were free last
spring. But I've never tried to use it before.

I can log into the Emerald Club part of the website. My profile is there correctly, including the credit card information. In fact, I even deleted and re-entered the credit card information, just to make sure.

But when I try to get a quote, the credit card information does not show up as a choice in the pulldown list. It just says "Select One" or "New Card", but it doesn't show the card name I entered, so I can't select that. I can't leave it blank or it refuses to give me a quote. If I try to enter the credit card info directly as a New card, it complains that it doesn't match my profile.

Am I doing something wrong? Does this work for other people?

I realize that I can call and make the reservation over the phone. But I really just wanted to start playing around with the rates first. Also, I have the impression from these boards that the Internet rates are sometimes better than the phone rates anyway.

I am mostly interested if the site is working for anybody else right now.

If you are on the reservation page...don't do anything at the credit card information area and proceed down a bit further on the left side there is a box that says "view rate quote" click ... I hope this helps
 
Still does not work for me.

Give me an error saying "Please enter your Credit Card information to continue with this reservation". It won't just give me the quote.

I was just curious if it was only my Emerald login, or if it was something odd about the website. Does it work for anyone else right now?
 
I spent 2 frustrating days with this problem.....Does your husband/wife have the same credit cards listed on their profile, and has that spouse rented from National before?? If so, the credit cards that are listed on their profile, are now locked on their profile. You will need to add a new credit card to your profile (one that's not on your spouse's profile). The card on my spouse's profile is TECHNICALLY MY CARD, it also appears on MY PROFILE, but I can't use it, now, for quotes. I have to use the stupid American Express Card which is not on HIS profile. Mloren, could this be the same problem you're having?:)
 

Try adding the credit card you originally had in there. Deleting it may have caused the problem. Also, you can check rates without using your EC number.
 
Another reason might be that the expiration date on your credit card occurs before the date you're trying to check rates for. :)
