For those who have done it before, was it worth it? Would 12 and 8 year old kids prefer to skip it and hit their favorite attractions? I don't want to wait in line for an hour for seats, and we just don't eat enough to justify the priority seating/dinner reservation combination prices. If it's a can't-miss we'll do the reservations, but I'm inclined to skip it. Thoughts? Thanks.

Last year I took my then 5 and 2-would be 3 in 3 weeks- year olds and they enjoyed it, They liked the carols and music, but did get tired at the end. We did the CP package, ate early and did the early show. I would not have done it without the dinner, since I know they would not stand in line for that long for something like that.

I happen to really really like this show. It would depend on the kids. They aren't really ride instensive kids (at that time, since then the 3 year old has gotten the ride bug). If your kids are at that age where this may bore them a little

I just asked my 10 and soon to be 12 year old since we went last year. They both said they didn't like it. Sorry.

If I had it to do over again I would stand at the back of the theatre for awhile by myself and listen to the speaker/music. My kids just weren't that interested and although we would/have eaten at LeCellier again, I would also not do the package. I did not like where we sat as it was too close to the stage and I thought we were going to lose some hearing from the intensity of the music. On the flip side, I am glad I saw it but definately would have been ok if I only saw a portion of it from the back. Good luck with your decision.

P.S. My husband felt the same way as my kids did.

I agree, I would stand in the back and catch a few minutes. My kids wouldn't sit through more than a half an hour of this. I found it to be beautiful and had I been alone, would have really enjoyed this. However, after a long day at Epcot, and it was really cold, they didn't last long. My one suggestion would be to try for the later show. We went at 5:30 and it wasn't really dark yet, so we kind of missed out on the beauty of the twinkiling lights!

When my youngest son was 12, we went to EPCOT for a quick trip with no intention of doing the CP. What we DID do was to grab a light supper at the counter service Japanese place, settle in at the outdoor eating area, and listen to enough of the CP to really get us in the Christmas spirit. With teenagers, i would probably never try to sit thru the whole thing. Hearing it from a bit of a distance was just fine. (Also bought the CD so I could listen to an entire CP in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine once I got back home!) Good luck!

We stand at the back. Technically it's outside of the theater... but since the theater does not have walls, you can still see. If you aren't able to get a space in the standing crowed, then we sit down at the free outside cafe tables from the restaurant at the American Pavilian. You can hear perfectly, but won't be able to see everything. Honestly, though, there isn't much to see.

While we've enjoyed it, it's not anything we've been able to sit thru for the entire show. This way we can just move along when we are ready.

We have not done the dinner package and have not waited in line. We went to the theatre about 10 - 15 minutes before the show started and were able to get seats in the back. It probably depends on who the narrator is too - I am sure different narrators draw more of a crowd. I wouldn't wait in line for an hour for anything at WDW!!!
