HI all! Well, I am a mere shell of my former self now that I've been in grad school for four weeks!

Question: I have a final exam the week I get back from WDW and two the following week. Do I study on my vacation? We will be taking breaks... I'm leaning towards taking some kind of notes with me, even if it's just for the one class. That exam is not cumulative... anyway, I have presentations, papers, exams, projects... it just doesn't seem like it will all get done...

I would take them. You can study on the plane and during your wait before your flight both ways, if nothing else.

I always brought homework/notes on our trips during school...never looked at them, but at least it made me feel like I was trying. ;)

I would bring school work with me. I usually wake up before everyone else on vacation, so I get at least an hour or two of reading/studying in.

I would bring it. We drive down, so I could feasibly do a lot of work in the car...

And FWIW, if my kids have homework to do, I have them bring it asl well. We have mostly done our trips a week prior to school, so its mostly summer reading journals and such.

I would say that if you have been doing all of your work so far and are confident, relax on vacation.

I often times think that it is our anxiety that causes more difficulties. Relaxation is great for the mind!:Pinkbounc

After recently graduating from Grad. school I bote for bringing them. Grad. school can be overwhelming enough especially if you are still adjusting to it. Bring what you can and as another poster said, you can read on the plane. Even if you do nothing there, on the way home to get quickly into studying can be a help. Good Luck!

I'd take the materials and decide later if I have the time or motivation to study them while at WDW. There is something to be said for completing disconnecting from reality and getting back to everything with a fresh perspective when vacation is over.

I would take a few things. I just graduated in May and I always took something to study when we went on vacations. You never know when you might get a few extra minutes that you want to just glance over your notes!! If you don't have time, then don't fret over it.

Being a non traditional student-married and mom-the one piece of advice I shared was to ALWAYS have your backpack with you!!

Write notes on index cards and then you can glance at them while standing in line if you are so inclined. You could even have someone quiz you while waiting, make it a game!
