Help! Booking FP with less than 30 days

I just found out we are going to WDW in mid-June and staying offsite. We haven’t been to WDW since before MDE and FP+ so I am struggling a bit, lol. I set up a MDE account, ordered discount tickets and am waiting for the FP confirmation email. Meantime, I am trying to put together plans, knowing that FP+ availability will be limited. I have no idea if any good FP will be available when I am finally able to log on (probably tomorrow which is about 3 weeks out). Any advice on what strategy I should use for FP? Should I decide on park days and look for the higher priority rides and just take any available time? Then work out a touring plan to fit with the FP I get? I am worried because the 30 day window has already passed and I may not get anything good at the times I would prefer or maybe not at all.

Yes, that will be the best way. You need to determine which park before you search for what is available.

You might be surprised to find you can get most of what you want. If you want the A&E meet and greet you might be out of luck and SDMT could be hard to get if you are picky about the time but otherwise, you should be able to get just about anything you want. Obviously you need to know what day and park but I never book my FP until the night before and have always been able to get what I want. Yes, for the initial booking take what you can then you can go in and try to tweek it, even up until the day before. They pop open all the time.
