My mom's side of the family is going to Disney World in march of 2020. My aunt is renewing her wedding vows on her 50th anniversary but the rest of the week will be Disney trip. The problem is were to stay I did not know where to put this so I thought here would be best, in the room it will be my parents, me and my mom's sister who is pay a 3rd for the room. My mom had an idea of staying at the rental house with her brother and sister in law, the sister also loves that idea but then you have the rental car cost and buying food for the rental house. My dad and I like the idea of staying on property so we can take a bus to the parks. If we stayed on property we would only rent the car for the day of the so called wedding. Any of the hotel resorts that can sleep five my mom kind says no to cause she dose not want me to be on a pull out same with her sister since she is paying a 3rd for the room. Are their any villas, resorts that could sleep 5 or even 7 people nice and cozy but not like cats in a box, along with that bed wise i know my parents need a queen cause of my dads height. Help we have a year to get this all our mickeys in row so to speak.

Not sure what your budget is but 5 makes a big difference over 7. A decent amount of rooms have two queens plus a trundle. Or a king, a sleeper sofa and a trudle which could sleep 5. Once you get into sleeping 7 “comfortably” you’re now in the 2-3 bedroom villas or club level range which are costly.

You can book dvc villas through Disney or you can rent them directly through a dvc owner. There are brokers who assist with the rental process. There is also a rent and trade board in the dvc section if this forum.

I’d go the dvc rental route. You can rent a one, two or three bedroom villa for much cheaper than Disney’s rates. Given you are all adults, having your own space would be essential in my opinion. There is no way I’d put four adults in a hotel room. Absolutely no privacy.

I think on property is easiest all around, especially if flying in. Then you can perhaps get a car for the anniversary day. Or even Uber. ??
Dvc AKL comes to mind. There are options with bathrooms etc. I’m sure the dvc experts will chime in.
Wherever you stay, enjoy ur trip. Memories with family... last s lifetime.

It's probably more expensive than offsite but the cabins at Ft Wilderness sleep 6. Queen, pullout sofa and bunk beds. AOA suites sleep 5.

I thought AOA sleeps 6 ok and sorry my math was off I mean their might be 6 of us don't know why i put 5 and 7 would the tree house villas work they sleep nine that would give us room but it dose have bunk beds? That is what we want to do get a car for the anniversary to save money has for uber we have to pay someone to drive us to the park and with me being on the spectrum of autism i don't feel comfortable using uber solo. My mon thought going through costco would be a good idea has anyone done that?

You can rent a “dedicated” 2 bedroom villa at AKV Kidani Village which will give you a master bedroom with a king bed and spectacular bathroom, a second bedroom with 2 queen beds, a queen pullout and a single pullout in the living room. It also comes with a fullyish equipt kitchen (inc. dishwasher) and a washer/dryer. The two bedroom villas at Kidani (not Jambo) have 3 full baths. There is no reason to pay extra for savanna view. There are plenty of public viewing areas.

Sorry, it does, but not 6 adults comfortably.

I’ve stayed at the kidani/AKL dvc described above ( though it was Savannah) and it was perfect. Plenty of space, beautiful resort, a calmer type atmosphere versus hectic and mobbed like most values are.
I would not recommend the tree house villas. They are surrounded by woods obviously, more remote, limited amenities and more suited for camping minded type visitors. Bugs, dark, walking, more apt for animals etc
Honestly, I think you and your parents should stay at a moderate ( pofq or por) and have your own room. Your aunt should get her own room and then you ll all have space, be in a comfortable, beautiful resort, amenities, food court, bus and boat transport ( which is a beautiful ride even if disney springs does not interest you) so much to offer.
Or the dvc route is best, research some resorts and get the feel for them. Which seems to stand out to you to work for your group?
Costco is quite reputable but you ll not be able to get the dvc discounted rates if that’s your choice. You can book those through disney Or an owner directly, there’s a thread here.
I agree on property will suit your family best. Good luck and happy planning.

AoA sleeps 6.
Bedroom has a queen bed.
Dining area has a full Murphy bed.
Living area has a full sofa bed.
They have two full bathrooms.

That many adults I would consider two rooms. Will the extra two decide in time to make plans or will they be last minute?

A kidani two bedroom lock off sounds like your best bet. Someone mentioned a cabin at Fort Wilderness. While I enjoyed my stay there in October, the beds were all horrible. I was glad to check out for my Grand a Floridian Villas stay and a good bed.

Again, I’d recommend renting points over going through Costco. Kidani is fairly easy to rent and you’ll pay roughly half what you’d pay through Disney or an agent.

Does everyone have to be in one room? Personally, I'd rather have my own space in a moderate or even a value if need be.

Wherever you go, you need to find a place that has three real beds.
One for you
One for your parents
One for aunt

That actually sounds like only 4 people, so not sure why you're looking for space for 5.

In any event, three real beds for the DVC side will take you up to a 2 bedroom villa which is costly. 1/3 of that is still costly. You would be better off booking separate rooms.

March is considered Magic season and one week in a 2 bedroom is 300-362 points (standard view vs savanna view). Multiply by $20/point (prices seem to be on the rise) and you're at $6000-7240. $15/point will run you $4500-5430.

Because there is an Aunt & Uncle who is coming (making 6) and so Mom suggested an offsite house and they all stay together ... OP & Dad want to stay onsite which I understand with so many adults and the potential for the Disney part of the trip, folks wanting to do different things. If they stay offsite I think they'll need more than one car, plus parking, now the cost is going up.

IF onsite they only need car for day to go to wedding.

This is slightly off topic, but may help with deciding on staying on Disney property. The Car Care Center at Disney is also an National and Alamo car rental agency. There is Alamo/National shuttle that will come to any Disney resort for free.

Call Alamo/National to schedule complimentary shuttle service between your WDW resort and the Car Center Center at last one hour before you want to be picked up. When you return the car during operating hours, the complimentary shuttle will take you back to your WDW resort. The concierge desk in the lobby of the resort will have the number and will explain exactly what to do. You will want to have made the car rental reservation in advance.

Not a trundle, more like a day bed that sits like a sofa during the day, but the back flips forward to make a nearly twin sized bed at night. Moderates don't have trundles either, but many have a bunk sized murphy bed that is about 66" long. Folds up to the television stand during the day and folds down to make a cantilever bed at night.

My parents are paying one 3rd, my aunt is paying one 3rd and so are my other aunt and uncle are also paying for one 3rd. Which is hard when it comes to my aunt when it is off site she wants her one room and when it is on site my dad wants his own space which i get. I have looked into the AOA before i found out my other aunt and uncle would be joining us which is why my mom was like no I don't want you on a pull out for a week and with your aunt paying i also don't want her on a pull out. My mom did look into the riverside resort and i told her that would not work cause if the pull down bed is for kids or even tweens there is no way i would like i'm 5'7. I did look into the AKL which it seems like ti would work there is just the price, when i go to the disney site and just have it for room cost it seems cheaper. but when i click the room and tickets button it goes to the thousands. The big cost they show is that for the whole week with every person in that room getting a ticket to all four parks? I just can not work out the pricing. Also with which resort my mom and I are gluten free which is easy then you throw in my mom's other three food problems which is pork, cows milk and banana's thats right my mom can't have those four things two of them make you go crap that sucks no cows milk and gluten should be easy but take away bacon and bananas and now your thinking what can you eat for breakfast and where.

If you have a year, I think many of the Value resorts will have a Queen bed and a Queen sized table bed (not a pull out, but a pull down, usually more comfortable) like Pop Century has. I would look into 3 value rooms. Splitting cost is very easy that way as well...3 rooms, 3 people paying.

This would be much cheaper than Treehouse villas, etc.

ETA: For a random date that I looked at. A Value room was $185/night x3=$555 versus Treehouse Villa at $1270 (even a 2 bedroom at SSR was $1010)

If everyone wants different ticket entitlements, buy them separately. If you book a package, EVERYONE needs the same tickets, which is fine if everyone wants to do the same number of park days.

Figure out the number of real beds you need, book the space that has those real beds (without any awkward bed sharing) and make sure you have enough BATHROOMS. I've done 4 adults in a value room for a week but I was in college and it was the only way we could afford to go....i would never cram more than 2 or 3 adults into a room with only one bathroom.

Even renting points, I think Kidani 2 bedroom would be more costly than 3 rooms at a value resort. Also, if OP rents, she will lose flexibility of cancelling and probably has to pay most if not all up front, and it sounds like some are not in agreement.
