Help! BC or OKW alone with a 6 and 7year old

I think this may be the case for our family as well. Growing up near the beach may have overly prepared my children for water more than the average child. However, I will say that my children really loved to just sit in the shallow water and play with the sand.

The two biggest differences are sight lines - at most beaches - even crowded ones, you can keep an eye on your kids - With SAB there are several distinct parts of the pool that are not visible from other parts of the pool - and the lazy river - which is deep with a current - but you might not expect it to be deep if you try and enter there.

My kids grew up on a Minnesota lake - they both had lots of swim lessons from a young age and were pretty strong swimmers because there was a child attractive water hazard in the back yard. But that pool still scares me.

I have taken my two girls solo before. I would not use BC because of the pool. BWV is a better choice, or as pp said AKL. For what it is worth, my girls love SSR. They have two pools to choose from, both easy to watch them at, and close to Springs for dining.

My littles prefer the Kidani community hall over all others. It was difficult pulling them away for park time!

Just took my kids alone in April and stayed in BCV 1 bed (and Poly studio split). I cant speak to OKW but we had a beautiful time. We didnt even use the big pools once becuase the kids weren't interested, they were happy in the DVC pool. They LOVED the little diner there and did the Pirate Adventure Cruise. The only reservation I would have doing it not on a split is that it is not simple to get to the MK section of things or anywhere else really. The buses are PACKED because of Yacht Club (conventions galore etc). So for Epcot and DS and all the offerings between, its perfect. Of course, both of those venues are not great at the moment for our kids ages. Then again OKW is near nothing so why not, BCV!
