We were there last week and my DD9 wanted the Tinkerbell doll (size of barbie) in a Christmas outfit. It was early in our vacation, though, and I encouraged her to wait to see if there would be anything else she might want. So, on our last day, I went to the store at MGM to purchase it for her as a surprise Christmas present and was told they were SOLD OUT! I was disappointed, but since she hadn't mentioned it again, I was ok with it. Well, Monday, she comes home from school and asks me to proofread her letter to Santa she wrote - in which she asks Santa for the Chrismas Tinkerbell doll! So, yesterday I called the mail order # and they said they were all out and would not be getting any more in! I was devastated. The only think my DD9 is asking Santa for is this doll and I can't find it. I even checked on Ebay - nothing. Please, if anyone has one that they would be willing to sell to me, I would be so, so grateful!

hope you can find someway to get it. I noticed in your message that you called the mail order # - could you please let me know the mail order # because I am looking to order something also that I forgot to get on my trip two weeks ago. I did have the number but naturally now I can't find it. Thank you and good luck again in your search.

Do you think it is possible that the World of Disney in Manhattan might have it? Maybe you could try calling them and they could be of some assistance to you.

Thanks. The mail order # is (407) 363-6200. The CM said it was a park-exclusive and even gave me the # to Disneyland in CA to see if they had it, but after being on hold for 30 minutes, the CM there didn't know what I was talking about, she said they only had a tree-topper. I just wish I know at the time that the item would be hard to come by - I would have purchased it right away. Anyway, I hope you find what you're looking for.

I can't help you, but I just wanted to send PD your way! :wizard:

I hate that feeling of not being able to find something on your child's list. GOOD LUCK! :flower:

No, that's not her, but thank you so much for trying to help. She actually had a Santa suit on with the Santa hat. I was even thinking about getting a regular Tinkerbell doll and trying to find a barbie Christmas outfit to put on her (don't even know if they make them). The CM said they were "park-exclusive". They had other merchandise there as well with the Santa Tinkerbell theme, like ornaments and figurenes. I like the idea about the note - maybe I can get something else Tinkerbell and include the note with that.

I know how frustrating it can be to try to locate something that is a MUST HAVE for your child so close to Christmas.

Did you try the Laughing Place Store? I made a quick check there and found a Christmas Tink. It's $37.20 plus shipping, but if it's the only thing she has asked for, well, we just have to spoil them a little at Christmas.

I wanted to insert a picture of the doll, but this is my first EVER post on these boards (I admit, I've been a lurker for a while), and I can't seem to figure it out.

I hope this is it and I hope you are able to get it AND have it arrive in time.

I believe this is the link Tink's Pixieduster wanted to post: http://www.laughingplacestore.com/Product-4770.asp

You might want to check and see if they can get it... I believe that how LPS works is that they go into the park and buy what you order after you order it (they don't keep things "in stock" somewhere) so if all of WDW is sold out, they might not be able to get it either, but you can always try!!

Have you looked at eBay? Long shot, but someone might have it for sale!

Curiouser, thank you so much - that is the one from the park! Ok, now I have to plan on being on my computer a few minutes before the auction closes to place my bid, so hopefully nobody will outbid me! Oh my gosh - wish me luck! And thank you to everyone trying to help - I feel like you are all my friends on these boards! I did actually try the LaughingPlace yesterday, but as was mentioned, they go to the park and buy the item and then ship it to you, so they wouldn't be able to get it either. This will just make my Christmas if I can get this for my DD9. I was so depressed yesterday, I felt so badly. Now, I have hope. Thanks, Disers!

I'm so happy that you found it - sending plenty of Pixie Dust to you for the auction - and thank you very much for the mail order phone number please let us know if you get it.

Good Luck on your ebay auction! My daughter has done that the last two years.. comes up with a last minute item and I have to scramble to find it-- good luck again!

OOOOOOH I hope you won the one on eBay! But if you were not, you should email the person that had that one listed and ask if they have any more. Thier user name has Tink in it so it's probably a good bet that they have a lot of Tink stuff!

Good Luck and I hope you find her!

Yes, I did win the auction (it was close though). I waited until about 20 minutes before the close and placed a bid of $20 (which was how much it cost in the park-it was up to $18.51 at that point). So, I was the high bidder. I kept refreshing the page and no other bids. Then 2 minutes before close, I put in a bid of $50 just in case someone tried to bid at the last minute. Well, it's a good thing I did because with 1 minute to go another bidder placed a bid of $25, but since I had the reserve bid of $50 in there, it still said I was the highest bidder. Then they bid $30, then $35, then $40 - I kept watching the bid go up and up - I was getting very nervous at this point. Then, finally it ended with a final price of $46 (up from $20 a minute earlier)! So, I was a little frustrated that the bidder drove my price up like that, but I am still happy I got it! Now, I just hope it gets here before Christmas! Thanks again for all your good wishes!

I'm glad you won. I feel a little sorry for the other bidder. She is probably another mom trying to get a Christmas present. It is a shame they are not more plentiful. I went to DTD yesterday and asked about the Santa Tink in every store. They all said the same thing. Sold out. They are also sold out of the Tink Santa hats. I saw several disappointed people looking for those. Moral of the story. When visiting WDW, if you see something you really want, buy it then! I hope your DD has a great Christmas!
