Origanally staying at DTD Courtyard
Rate; $85 per night

Opportunity for Florida Resident for 3 rooms at $55 per night and regular rate on 4th room making average rate per night: $74
Took this opportunity!!!

Just received email for DTD Courtyard at $49 per night.

Should I change back to DTD Courtyard or stick with the Disney fell and the extra$$$???

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Do you plan on driving to Parks everyday...or take Hotel provided bus? Not sure about times or schedule the Hotel's transportations have, we have stayed in that area just once and the transportation was not as convenient as WDW. Have also heard that some, (I have no idea if Courtyard falls into the category) charge extra for transportation.

I'd go with the All Stars for one very simple reason. You are going over the busiest time of the year. They can and do close parks when it gets too crowded. They do it in a specific order as the parks fill.

First no new cars can come in.

Then they shut it down to buses from the DTD Resorts, then lastly is people from a WDW resort.

So in effect you could get shut out of a particular park on any given day, but as a guest of a WDW resort, you are GUARANTEED entrance to "a WDW theme park". So even if you can't get into the MK, they have to allow you into one of the other parks, and you'll have a far greater chance of getting into the park of your choice as a WDW resort guest.

I would suggest spending a few extra dollars and staying onsite. That $49 rate sounds good, but you may want to check to see if they charge a "resort fee". They usually forget to mention that until you get there. In addition, the transportation from the DTD is not all that great.

I have stayed at both and I would say stick with the All Stars. It will be VERY busy at that time and you will want to be onsite for all of the above reasons and that it is just more convenient. You don't all have to go to the same park Everyone can come and go as they please. The food court is very nice to have. The Courtyard is nicer, but more Hotelish. The All Stars are more fun. A few things I do to make my stay more comfortable are: bring my own pillow (their's are flat) and I bring my humidifier to block out noise at night. It works great!

I'll be the dissenter here. BECAUSE it will be so crowded I would steer clear of the AS. The Courtyard is lovely, rooms much bigger, transportation VERY easy and comfortable. I loved it there.

Since my DH does all the driving when we are vacationing, it is a real treat for him to vacation at a resort where he doesn't have to worry about driving. Plus, he can have a couple of beers in the evening a not worry about me having to be the driver. We really enjoyed the onsite transportation.
