I will never go to AK on an EMH Morning. There isn't much open and it's disorganized and very crowded. I would go on a a regular day and go right when they open. I have never found AK to be that crowded that you need the EMH.

This is what is open: Two of the attractions and they are packed.
Discovery Island Trails
It's Tough to be a Bug
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail

DD and I went when they opened on a regular entry day and hit the first show of the Lion King and there was no one there...we walked in right before show time. We did ITTBAB and Dino and didn't have any trouble. We did the safari on another morning. We did Pochahontas which we probably will do again. We walked around and enjoyed the park after that and looked at the animals. This year I really want to see the Flights of Wonder, but the times have never worked out before. We don't enjoy the Tarzan show so we didn't do that last time and DD didn't want to do the Kali River Rapids. She likes to mess around in the boneyard. I find this park relaxing when we are there because it seems like we aren't making a mad dash for stuff. It is a long walk between things though and I guess it seems longer because it's always SO HOT when we are there

I figure the crowds will be similar. Let me know-- Do you think an EMH plan of heading straigt to Kilimanjari Safari, pick up fast pass for Rapids ride (but stand in line without using the pass), after first Rapids ride do It's tough to be a bug, go back for 2nd rapids ride with fast pass, fast pass for Lion King show? if there is one, explore the park or lunch, then do Lion King show will work. Or would it be better to do another day? We really want to see the Lion King show.

I don't think you can get a Fast Pass for Rapids on the way to the Safari as that attarction isn't open during EMH. Only ITTBAB and the Safari are open on the EMH. Lion King doesn't have a Fast Pass.

We went on a regular morning, picked up a Fast Pass for ITTBAB and then went to the first Lion King show and walked in 2 minutes before show time. Went and rode Dino and then went back to ITTBAB. Then did Fast Passes for Dino again. DD didn't want to do the Rapids, but I would bet that early in the morning you could walk right on or do a fast pass.

Another idea, DH and DS do AK with the breakfast with a ps at 8:00. They are done by 9 when the park opens (non EMH) and they ride Dino and then go to the Rapids. No fast pass needed. They didn't do the Lion King show though. If you do the early ps for Donald's use Disney transportation or you may have trouble getting into the park early.

I will stress again...the hikes are rather long between things. Walking to get fast passes and then back to something else is lots of extra walking.

DH and DS do well with the early breakfast at AK. I, too, am hoping the EMH remain the same for AK...this is the only one I really care about as I want their breakfast on a non-EMH morning. Use Disney Transportation to make sure you get in early. The parade is worth seeing IMO. DD and I really like it. We are going to try the night EMH as I've heard it's pretty to be in AK at night.

The Lion King show is probably our favorite thing to do there. The wait gets longer as the afternoon goes on. It has air conditioning, but the outside waiting area doesn't Try to go there early in the day.
