Help about give a day and leaving soon

So here is my questions all you pros out there!

So we have been deciding lots of stuff these last few months. So CAl. tickets annual passes etc. So we have decided to go ahead and get the deluxe annual pass. So many less block out dates.

I originally was going to purchase 5 day park hoppers then realized it is a waste of my money every time we go buying tickets.

So here is my question:There is a Give a day volunteer opportunity the day after we are planning to leave. If we stay home another day and do the volunteer opportunity and then leave after it is over will our voucher be in time while we are driving there. It will take us a day and half to get there. Now I am going to buy the 5 day ticket and trade it in for deluxe pass as soon as I get that email. Or is that not enough time for them to email the voucher and I should just go the day as planned? With 5 of us it is a savings of $350
it is totally worth it to me to save that much money. I hear I can use the GAD and the 5 day pass towards our deluxe pass. What would you do?

The FAQs on the Disney site say they have up to 2 weeks to email the voucher to you. We volunteered last Saturday and had our vouchers yesterday. After you volunteer the organization has to notify Disney that you volunteered, so I guess it would depend on how quickly they did that. I am thinking you probably would not get them in time.

I have read different things from different people about upgrading the GAD vouchers. A couple of people have said they were able to use the value of their parkhopper and the GAD voucher together to upgrade to an AP, another person said they were not allowed to do that, that you would have to use the GAD voucher to purchase a parkhopper, then upgrade the parkhopper.

May I upgrade my free one day ticket to an Annual Pass or multi-day ticket?

Yes, you may upgrade the free ticket to another ticket type of greater value within the applicable upgrade window. However, you are responsible for the incremental cost and the new ticket may only be used by you. No changes or refunds will be given. The value of the free ticket may not be used to combine or upgrade with a separate single or multi-day ticket.

I don't that there will be enough time.

We volunteered on a Saturday and received our vouchers on Wednesday the next week. We did our volunteering in the middle of January.

ok so unless I find another one that won't work. I did find one that says making cards for troops. I am hoping maybe I can do this at home since it is an hour away we will see if that pulls through or not.

Are there any special deals on buying the deluxe pass? I heard in years pass sometimes they give you a $50 gift card or something. This is our first time buying the passes. Are there any promos in buying 5 deluxe passes that anyone knows of? I am sorry to be cheap!

I wouldn't say you were cheap - just using your money to the best advantage.

I haven't seen or heard of any promos for AP's. I wish there was - our passes are up the end of May and we would love to get them again. We got ours at Costco last year with the gift card and that was a huge savings. Now the passes are even more expensive than they were last year.
