It’s going to be great!!! We just got back from a quick trip and actually went over to HS in the evening and jumped in line for SDD right before closing, about 7:50. We waited maybe 35 minutes and it wasn’t bad at all. Posted time was 50. You’ll have a great time!

In the same boat atm... I've been in this situation before and honestly it'll still be a fun vacation. Snag whatever fb's they have on MDE, they will have some popular rides (not TSL or Avatar rides) like Space Mountain, Test Track, Tower of Terror, etc. However, be aware these fast passes may be at weird times (like late at night or late afternoon).

OP, I booked a trip for just DH and I last Friday, leaving Saturday. Less than 24 hrs before! I was able to get some good fast passes for the parks 2-3 days before hand but not the day of or even the day before. I was surprised because there were only 2 of us and the crowd levels were between 1-3. For example, we got Jungle Cruise and Pirates but couldnt get Splash, BTMRR, PP or Space. I did get lucky and snagged FOP by refreshing constantly a few days before our AK day. We had the best trip without all that planning. TS dining was so easy. I think because Food and Wine was going on but we walked into Via Napoli and 50's at the height of lunch and were sat right away.
