I've got BF about 95% of the way talked into going to WDW in September -- it will be our second time at WDW. The first time, in September 2002, we stayed at ASMo. We were both perfectly happy with it and only had the most minor of quibbles (mainly that the resort seemed to be so far away from everything), so we would be perfectly happy to stay there again. So, I priced it up on WDW.com, and it was affordable. Then, just for kicks, I priced up a moderate (POFQ) ... and it was only $400 more, which actually seemed pretty reasonable seeing as I've read good reviews of POFQ on these boards. Now we have to decide if shelling out an extra $400 for what, in the end, is just a room is worth it.
Unfortunately, we are both Virgos. Therefore, we can never make up our minds. A typical evening at our house goes like this:
"What's for dinner?"
"What do you want for dinner?"
"I don't know. What do you want for dinner?"
"I asked you first."
"Well, I don't care. We'll have whatever you want."
"But I don't know what I want!"
And we wind up having cereal or something.
So imagine how difficult it is for us to decide on a place to live for a 7-night vacation! (This is also part of the reason I've only got him 95% of the way talked into WDW, rather than a full 100%.
)
It would be nice to stay at a moderate, with a slightly bigger room and, from what I've read, a somewhat quieter, more peaceful atmosphere. On the other hand, if we stay at ASMo (thereby "saving" the extra $400), we could possibly take in La Nouba and also have some nicer (i.e., pricier) lunches and dinners rather than having counter-service all the time, which is likely what we would do if we stayed at POFQ.
Help! What would you do? I really need some feedback.
