HELLO ? MICKEY? ARE YOU THERE?It's me again, and again, and again.....TR STARTED 6/3

I'm glad yall had such a great night. It sounded like so much fun.

As for Mr. Huffy...WHO GOES TO A CONCERT AND SITS THE WHOLE TIME? I believe that was just poor planning on his part.

I'm sure it was rough getting up the next morning.

Thanks, Megan!

I wish someone had told Mr. Huffy that he was going to a concert........;)

Great pictures, it sounds like a fun time was had by all, except Mr Huffy.

We did have fun!---Don't know if Mr. Huffy did or not---I quit talking to him! I was glad to get to see Rascal Flatts in person.

soooo glad you had fun at the concert!! I love Rascal Flatts!! Thank you for sharing the great pictures!!

Thanks, Keala! We had a lot of fun!

Glad you got to have some fun! Wonder what your students would have thought if they had seen the teacher rockin' out?!?!?

:scared1: :scared1::scared1: and then...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

How cool that you got to see Hootie and Rascal Flatts! From your pictures, it looks like you had good seats. So glad that you had a good time even if there was a booty sitting behind you. I haven't been to a concert is such a long time. Now, you've got me wanting to go to one!

We had fun in spite of Mr. Huffy sitting behind us.

Before the concert, you could sent a text to RF which was displayed on a big screen near the stage. Every text entered you to win backstage passes. Well, Rachel was trying to think of a good message, and Kevin told her to text, "I'm here with my dad who hasn't been to a concert since he went to see Loverboy in 1984 !" :lmao: SO, Lisa, has it been that long?

Okay, I thought it was pretty cool that you were headed to see Rascal Flatts, but I must admit I absolutely squealed in delight when you said you got to see Darius Rucker!!! He is one of my favorites!!! :lovestruc Many, many, many years ago when Hootie and the Blowfish were just a little South Carolina band that no one else in the country knew, my friends and I used to go see them play all the time in little tiny venues in Charleston, and then, later when they became bigger, Charles and I went to a bunch of their concerts in Atlanta. They are my favorite band of all-time! How neat that you got to see Darius play! He is an awesome performer! Glad you had a great time!

Thanks, Jackie! That's funny , since I didn't even know the name Darius Rucker. Then when Kevin said, "You know, Hootie and the Blowfish". It was like , "OH.........Why didn't someone just tell me that earlier?? " ;) He put on a great performance as well. BTW, he spoke to my 1980's self, when he sang a little Prince...."Purple Rain"! It was great. My girls were going, "Do you know this song?" :lmao:

TFS your great night!! Great pictures (were they taken with your new camera?)!

Thanks, Stephanie! I unfortunately had forgotten to charge the battery on my new camera, so we didnt' get to use it. Those pictures came from Elizabeth's point-and-shoot. I think it's a Sony. It takes pretty good pictures. :thumbsup2

It sounds like a great concert - minus the party-pooper behind you  And even without your nice, new camera you still got some great pictures! :thumbsup2 I would love to see Rascal Flatts perform sometime. I'm like you - I'm not a huge country music fan but that is one country group that I love! In fact, all growing up I couldn't stand country music (even though Reba McEntire was my first concert) but when I heard "What hurts the most" for the first time on the radio, I was a fan again!

Thanks, Courtney!

I have always wanted to see them in concert. (Keith Urban is another one on my list). They did a great show. AND they did sing "What hurts the most"......:)

Hi Sis!!! (This is Kelly, Michelle's sister)

I thought I'd spend a little time on the DIS boards today to get ready for our trip and look what I stumbled upon! How fun!

I can't wait to leave for our trip in 11 days! Meg and Reese are super excited. I am looking forward to a trip without the hubbies.

Funny tidbit that I don't think you've shared...I was going to wait and not tell Meg (3 yrs. old) that we were going to DW until it was time to leave. We were just there in Dec. and she had recently stopped asking to go to Cinderella's Castle everyday. I was in no hurry to start that again since it usually ended with her crying. However, my dear sister told her about a month ago and now she wakes up every morning and says she is ready to go to Disney World! Thanks Sis! Thursday I picked her up from MMO and she asked if Aunt Chelle was coming to pick her up because she was ready to go DW now. I think she shares some of her aunt's OCD tendencies!

Oh well, it's all part of the excitement! And we are just thankful to have been asked to go and are looking forward to all the fun that I know we will have!

Hi little sister! :wave2:

Bless that baby's heart. :goodvibes If her mother would make her a countdown calendar, she could see how many days are left.....it would help her out in waiting ! AND by the way, I don't know what OCD tendencies you are referencing! :rolleyes1

We officially leave our home in 10 days---will be at Disney in 11 days! :woohoo:

The concert looks like loads of fun! But, I can't stand people that go out to events like that and just expect everyone to stay in their seats the whole time. Where's the fun in that???? We'll have that happen to us at OU football games sometimes and it's just so stupid - if you want to watch a game from the comfort of your seat stay home and see it from your living room!

I love Hootie - so glad you got to see him!!

I know what you mean, Michelle! We're lucky in the football aspect---We have Bama season tickets so we go to quite a few games during the year; but no one has ever told me to sit down! We sit when we want, and stand when we want. :cheer2: I just don't understand , though, expecting someone to sit throughout a concert----unless it was some classical pianist or something like that !

We had a lot of fun at the concert! :thumbsup2

It sounds like you had a great time at the concert. I think it is sad that there is always a sour puss in the crowd just waiting to rain on someone's parade. He could have at asked politely if he had a problem seeing. When we go to Talladega I stand in my seat and I have been asked a time or two to please move and I was more than happy to do it. I'm glad you didn't let him completely ruin your fun!!! BTW, I love Rascal Flatts too.

Glad you guys had such a great time at the concert! I like going but my DH doesn't. Now that the kids are a bit older, I think I'm going to start taking them!!:thumbsup2

Don't feel bad about not knowing Darius Rucker. I had no clue either until you said Hootie and the Blowfish.;)

Your trip is so close-can't wait to see all your pictures!!

So you had Five Guys, saw Hootie and Rascal Flatts all in one night?! :worship: You are the woman!

If it had been me (the big trouble maker I am) I would have kept standing after that guy complained. Incredible! What a party-pooper!

I know, Dana, I mean, what was the guy's problem? :confused3 Did he know he was going to a concert? He didn't ruin our night---I'm too stubborn to let that happen! ;)

Thanks, Stacy! My girls had a fun time too. This was actually Rachel's first concert! While texting her friend, who happens to be a boy(read what you'd like there ;) ), she commented that it was her first concert. He replied, "Are you serious? You've never been to a concert, but you've been to DisneyWorld, like what, ten times?" :lmao:

I hope Darius isn't too insulted by our lack of name recognition! ;)

I plan to take lots of pictues during my trip next week! :thumbsup2

Awwww, shucks, Alicia-----Thanks! ;)

Believe me, that I was tempted ....but Kevin is always the voice of reason. It's a good thing I married him! :)

Yay for the concert! I :love: Darius/Hootie. I remeber seeing them when they first came out opening up in my hometown for Toad the Wet Sprocket. His voice is amazing. I saw an interview with him where he said it was always his dream to sing country. My favorite song is "It won't be like this for long". A tearjerker-his family is in the video. I am listening to it now and have tears.

Mary--I had never heard that song, before the other night when he sang it at the concert. I had tears in my eyes just listening to the words. They are so true, aren't they? It seems as if my girls were just babies---only 27 months apart. I remember feeling just like he described--so tired and cranky and wondering if I'd always be changing someone's diaper or feeding somebody or never sleeping through the night again. Now they're 16 and almost 14. I don't wish them to be babies again or anything like that---I'm always happy for them to progress to the next stage of their life, because that's what life's about, isn't it? But it really does fly by. The song really put those thoughts into words.

Glad you had a great time at the concert and didn't let the sourpuss get to you! I don't understand people like that, either. I LOVE the song "It Won't Be Like This For Long." It always makes me cry because that IS my life right now. lol It is a good reminder that someday I will look back on these crazy days fondly.

Hey did you know - YOU WILL BE AT DISNEY WORLD IN 10 DAYS!!!!!! :dance3:

While texting her friend, who happens to be a boy(read what you'd like there ;) )

This made me laugh! Justin has a girl that he texts back and forth with all the time but he insists that they are just friends. I call her his 'non-girlfriend'

Well, a Vera Bradley shipment arrived at my house earlier this week!

Hi, I have been trying to catch up with your report - wow is there alot and it is great!!!:cheer2:

So my question is I just got my 1st VB over the weekend it was the raspberry fizz hipster, the backpack and a small wallet. So my 9yo dd's claimed the backpack, my 7yo claimed my hipster and wallet, my 12yo dd is just mad because she did not get a chance to claim anything and I am really mad:mad: because they left me nothing!:confused3 So how big is a mailbag in relation to a hipster? Actually I got the small hipster now that I think about it... Anyway please help me with my addiction........

Thanks, Julia--We did have a good time.

I really thought the words to that song were really meaningful. :goodvibes You will look back on these days fondly, and it will be sooner than you realize. Enjoy your kids now while they're younger. Don't get me wrong---I enjoy my girls being the ages they are now, but it is sweet to remember them as babies and toddlers. I try to appreciate every stage of life they go through---because that's what it's about---growing and learning!

10 days---I KNOW!!! :woohoo: I'm getting pretty excited!!:yay::yay::yay::dance3::yay::yay::yay:

This made me laugh! Justin has a girl that he texts back and forth with all the time but he insists that they are just friends. I call her his 'non-girlfriend'

:rotfl: Aren't they funny? Rach doesn't protest the "just friends" thing too much!

:wave2:Hi! Glad you've come over to read my PTR. :welcome:

Congratulations on joining the VB retail therapy club! Your bunch sounds like mine, all grabbing up the Vera! The mailbag is larger than the hipster. I'm not real sure on measurements---I would say it is about a 1-2 inches wider and longer than the regular hipster. If you got the mini-hipster, then it would be quite a big larger. VB online will give you the measurements, and you can order from their site.

Now I guess I am an enabler.............:rolleyes1

Michelle a/k/a fellow Vera Bradley Enabler,

Does the mailbag inside section zip? Trying to decide between a messenger or a mailbag. I've even looked at the saddle up.
