I'm a little late on the Contemporary dance, but WOOHOO!!!! I can't wait to read the TR and see pics of your room! I know what you mean about the "mood" there, though. When I was there I kind of just felt like I could have been at any modern hotel, not necessarily very Disney-esque. I'm still dying to stay there, though.

The plans for your March trip look great! It would drive me nuts not knowing the specifics for the band trip, though. I'll cross my fingers for you that they let you know SOON!

Thanks, Julia! You're not too late---I just made the reservation yesterday evening. It's those very things that make me second guess myself non-stop about the Cont. I know it has its good points, but willl those win me over ?

I hope the plans for the March trip will be ok. The band director told me that he wouldn't be told when/ or where they would be playing until about three weeks before we go!

I think he's a little tiffed at me---See I teach at the same school, so not only am I a parent, I am his co-worker as well. I think he took it personally that I am not "officially" traveling with the band group. I did explain to him that by having APs I could take this trip a lot less expensively on my own, rather than going through his group rate. *SIGH*Oh well....A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

3 weeks! That would stress me out to no end!

That's kind of a sticky situation. I'm sure he understands (or will) that it makes more sense for you to go the cheaper route. It just may take some time, though.

Hopefully when he thinks about it he'll understand. Cheaper is most definitely the way to go!

I've not read of any?! I know that Dana was trying to get something together for a smaller group of us. But it's going to be a lot harder for us this time around since we'll have my family with us and we won't have Park Hoppers. We are planning on watching Wishes from the Poly beach the night we get there (5/22) if anyone wants to join us! We did this last year and it was a lot of fun to meetup with other DISers!!

This will be our first time to stay at the Cont., so I'm looking forward to trying a new resort. Love the fact that the rooms seem to be so large!

Great choice!! Ed (DH) has been lusting after the Contemporary for years... his idea of perfect is having the monorail right there!!

That sounds like fun. One year at the Poly, we stayed in that evening, I did some laundry, and we watched "Wishes" from the beach. That's one of my favorite memories from our Disney trips!

Thanks, Kathy! I have enjoyed having the monorail nearby whenever we've stayed at the Poly. It is definitely convenient!

I've looked at the menu, and I don't think we'll be eating anything but burgers. OH, and maybe a chocolate shake!

I love it when we go to Disney enough, that we can say we have a "Tradition" of.........

For example, everytime we ride IASW, we have to retell the story of riding it the first visit, and a, uhmmm, rather large man sitting in the boat with us. The problem was that he sat over on one side, rather than in the middle! Then we take bets (behind Rachel's back, of course,) of how many pictures she'll take during the ride. Sure enough, she never disappoints. She snaps pictures non-stop, like it's her first time through.

We ate at Sci-Fi on our last trip in May. DH & DD love milkshakes. So it was one of the reasons I picked Sci-Fi. Plus DH is a huge sci-fi fanatic! Bring on Mystery Science Theatre.
