I licked the cheesecake bowl clean (YUM!) as we headed out of Backlot Express and began our walk to the
Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunt Show. Now remember, I have 3 boys and a wonderful husband so this show is NOT optional...it is a MUST SEE!

Revving engines, the smell of burning rubber, shootouts, motorcycle chases and big explosions mean happy boys! We came in on the late-ish end of things so we ended up being seated in the far left of the stadium, but only about halfway up. Not too bad. The bleacher seating is not the most comfortable, but it works. This is just a really fun show, and even I, the lone female in a testosterone filled house, enjoy it!

I didnt take as many pictures as last trip, but spent more time just watching the show. I did take a few so here they are...I DID manage to get the money shot this year. In 2007 I could tell by the set-up that the car would be coming out of the window, but missed the cool explosion at the end...not this time! ENJOY!
Ok..this one I did miss...the car had just jumped from truck to truck.
The Money Shot! Ok..so I kinda missed the car..you cant have everything!
As we followed the masses out of the stadium and back onto the Streets of America, it was time to scout out a spot for the parade. I knew we should be somewhere between the Indiana Jones Stunt Show area and the American Idol Experience theater, but this was a new parade for us so we werent certain where the best viewing spot would be. We asked a CM on the street and he told us approximately where the parade would stop...its a Block Party so it doesnt move the whole time, but stops for performances along the parade route. We chose a spot just between the Sounds Dangerous theater and the American Idol Experience. There is a little wall and an area called the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame with busts of TV and movie personalities. Jonah wanted his picture taken with this guy!
I, however, posed for this winner of a picture! Ive had a crush on him since he was Little Joe!
It was getting pretty hot and we were waiting right in the hot sun on the hot pavement, so I headed to Min and Bills Dockside for some delicious frozen lemonade for everyone. So good on a hot day! My two boys were way too cool to hang out with the rest of the family.

Here they are chillin with their lemonades, trying to act like they didnt know us!
We waited for what seemed like a long time, but since the parade stopped along the way, it took some time to get to us. We finally heard it coming! Block Party Bash was new for us...the last time we had seen a DHS parade it was Stars and Motorcars. We were excited for this one! Here it comes!!
At one point, the parade stopped and there were CMs dancing and interacting with the kids. They stopped for a good long time and did lots of cool stuff with beach balls, pogo sticks, etc. The performers were VERY high energy!
They invited all the kids to come out onto the street and dance with them. This is the one and only dance move Jonah knows! LOL!! Oh...and notice he STILL has the sword!
After about 7-10 minutes, the parade began moving again. Here are some more pictures as it went by.
The Block Party faded into the distance and we gathered our belongings and set off for our next adventure. We really enjoyed this parade...it was fun and interactive and colorful. I give those CMs credit for dancing and hopping around in that heat! Whew! Well done!
Our next stop was to head in the direction of Rock n Roller Coaster. Our FPs were good beginning at 4:00 and it was just after 3:30. We also hoped to maybe catch the Beauty and the Beast show on our way. We stopped to take this picture of the Snow White topiary....my fave!
Next up...Do we get to see Belle fall in love with the Beast? How does Jonah like his first ride on the RnRC?? What do you mean wheres your cell phone??
Thanks for reading!
