Morning!

5 am? Ick! At least you are off early in the day, but still, that is early. I used to do a 5 am - 1 pm shift at McDonalds, Monday to Friday. I loved getting off early and having weekends off, but it still sucked being up so early every day.

Happy Friday :) Esp. to Jess who had to be at work at 5!

It's still raining on and off around here. Boo. It SUCKS.

*yawn* Morning. I am sleepy, but I have to be at work at 5a today. So much fun. Really.

I used to love the 5-1 too. It gave me all afternoon to have fun.

Hi Tania!!

Yes it does.

It was great being off at 1 and having the rest of the afternoon free. The only thing is, you had to be in bed by 8 in order to get a full sleep, and in the summer it's really hard to go to bed that early, cause the sun is still up and people are outside enjoying the evening.

I used to burn the candle at both ends. I never worried about getting 8 hours of sleep when I was younger.

I always did. If I didn't I would have horrible sleeps. I would be too worried that I would sleep through my alarm that I either didn't sleep, or I had dreams that I slept in.

I did go through a short phase when I was doing that early shift, where I would go to the bar on Thursday night with friends, and go straight to work from there, lol. That didn't last too long.

There is no way I could go to the bar and go to work without sleep, that would have been a funny thing.:rotfl:

I think I only did it a few times, but my thought was "it's friday, I can go home and sleep after". And I had been there long enough that it didn't take a lot of effort to do my job. But yeah, going on no sleep was a little tough, lol.

I used to do inventory for a living and there were many jobs that I did not get sleep in between. I would get in and have to go back out in less than an hour. It was horrible on my body. The beginning of the month was slam time. I would kill myself working terrible long hours and then be off for a few weeks and it would start back up. No bueno.

I've seen those companies do that job and didn't know how they could do it. When I worked at Walmart, they had inventory people come in, instead of us counting, and they would do it at night. I heard it paid well, but still.

I didn't find it too bad working after going to the bar. At least not until about noon, then I would start to drag. Thank goodness I only had an hour left by then, and it went by fast because of lunch hour. I probably looked like a zombie though.

It is a rough job, between the traveling and the long hours. But, the pay is not that great, until you add in the mileage.

Squee of the day!!

Yeah I guess that would add up. It's hard to justify what good pay is until you are actually doing the job.

It was barely over minimum wage to begin with. Then I worked my way up and became a supervisor. That was when it started to really pay.

Coupon for Tangled just came in my email!! :woohoo:

It's only $5 this time where Toy Story 3 was $10, but it's better than nothing.

I wonder if Costco will accept those coupons. They are usually quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else for movies.
