Hello, Hello, Hello!

I think maybe my mood has to do with spring not being here like it is supposed to be. And the fact that Kacy turns 18 a week from today.:confused3

Our school doesn't get out until the middle of June this year. Not really thrilled. It seems so long this year.

I know how you feel. My son turned 18 in September of last year. He is graduating this year. I'm nervous for his future. I don't know how i feel about him growing up. Thank goodness he's not one of these kids who's in a huge hurry to leave home.

I think I am more upset that she isn't at all focused on life past high school. She graduates in June and has no plans. None! She did finally test to get into the local college thankfully but that is it. She has no drivers license. No focus. It drives me nuts.

Michele, if it makes you feel any better, my son has no plans either, and he has no drivers license as well. He would be more then happy letting me drive him around the rest of his life. He has not applied for any colleges. He has been told he will work full time or go to school. We have had to start making choices for him. He is a great kid, don't get me wrong. He just had no drive.

Oh wow. We are both going through the same thing. I feel your pain. I have no clue how to motivate her into doing these things. We told her that if she got her license we would get her a car. But, no mom is here to drive her whenever she wants.:rolleyes1

Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Yesterday Dillon and I had a date night. Went out for a cheap dinner and a movie. Saw Just Go With It with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. It was a pretty decent movie. I enjoyed it. Then we came back and sat in the dark for an hour for earth hour and chatted about baby names and things.

Today we had a belated birthday dinner for Dillon with his family and have finally started moving things out of the soon-to-be baby room. I am excited to finally start to be able to sort things out!

Sorry everyone is feeling so out of sorts lately. The weather does not help! It's not that cold for us lately, but it's still not warm enough for the snow to melt. It just stays soft and everyone is still getting stuck everywhere. It either needs to get a little colder for the snow to get hard, or get warmer to melt. I prefer the latter! :)

Hey Andrea, sounds like you had some great quality time with Dillon. Seems like me and Jon's quality time is getting less and less. His promotion seems to be nothing but alot more work for not much more money. I hate his job. I think that's some of what's bothering me. Anyways, that's great that you are starting to get the baby room sorted out. How exciting!!!!:goodvibes

Bradley actually has a car sitting in the driveway we bought a few years back. He just does not want to drive. I told him I hope he gets real familiar with the bus system. I work all day, i won't be able to drive him everywhere. I think he will figure it out, at least thats what i keep telling myself.

Is earth hour when you don't use electricity for an hour???

I am excited to finally be able to set stuff up! It might still be another day or so before I can get stuff in there, just cause it needs small things cleaned out and a good cleaning before things go in, but we've got a good start!

My brothers and I were slow at getting going after high school. Granted we had some huge family problems around the time we were in high school that probably didn't help, but we eventually all found our ways. Hopefully your son does too. And also your daughter, Michele!

Yep. We try to do it every year to do our part. Not sure how much it actually helps, but the quiet hour is always nice.

Also I am sorry your husbands promotion isn't as exciting as it should be. Sometimes you have to wonder if it's worth it. Hopefully things get better with his job!

Yeah, that would be nice to just sit for an hour in the quiet darkness and just talk about whatever came to your mind. Sometimes me and Jon will lay in bed and talk and snuggle before going to sleep. I really love those times.:love:

I love those times too. Often times those nights come for us on a work night, so we are dead tired the next day, but it's so worth it. I am ok with being tired for that reason. :)

My kids are teasing me. They say I'm a nerd because I'm watching "Lord of the Rings" for the 100th time. I love all the movies. I can't turn the channel if any of them are on.

I really enjoyed those movies too, but I have to admit I haven't seen them since they were in the theater. I have been itching to watch them for a while now, but just haven't made the move to sit down and do it. Need to make sure we can set enough time aside to do it!

And I also get bugged for watching Lilo and Stitch so much. But whenever I am in a bummy mood, it always helps make me feel a little better.

Everytime I watch them i see something i missed. And Aragorn is pretty dang hot. I love me a rugged looking man.
